Learn about vigilant mode.
  • Added default log location to path that the script is running from. Unless that location is the templocation for the temp script then it logs to the user desktop.
  • Added a variable to control if the script should try and elevate to run as admin.
  • Added the script now detects if it is running as admin and adjusts backup options to use /ZB if so.
  • Added basic sanity checks for source and destination. Will now popup with error if not sufficient.
  • Added runtime banner.
  • Fixed bug when checking if using a temp script.

Initial upload of existing script.

Previous update history:
v1.3 : 01/01/2023:

  • Overhaul to bring this script in line with my other Robocopy Backup script available here:
  • https://github.com/TomDSilva/Robocopy-Backup
  • Use of expression building technique via $RobocopyCommand variable to overhaul and simplify logic.
  • Added logic to Set-Credential so that this can run on PS5 minimum instead of PS7.
  • The script now changes the power setting so the machine doesnt go to sleep (and changes back after).

v1.2:

  • Added /MT to multithread, defaults as 8.

  • Added option to exclude directories.
