Release list
PiCode 0.2.7
🟢 The stable channel
This is the release everyone gets. It is built from the master branch, and it is the one
the updater offers on its own: no opting in, nothing to switch on.
What it is: the whole editor — with pi as its agent, the provider and model settings,
MCP servers, the sessions panel and the theme gallery. Extensions from Open VSX install here
exactly as they do anywhere else.
How it updates: an installed PiCode reads its feed at
updates/stable/win32/x64/<target>/latest.json. Updates roll out gradually: the updater's
update.minReleaseAge defaults to 120 h, so a release can take up to five days to reach you.
That delay is deliberate, not a fault.

PiCode 0.2.7-experimental
🧪 The experimental channel
The newest work, published before beta. It is built from the experimental branch: this is
where things land first, it may change under you, and it may be rough at the edges.
It installs beside your stable and beta PiCode, not on top of them. Its own folder and its
own profile.
How it updates: it reads updates/experimental/win32/x64/<target>/latest.json, so it only
ever receives its own channel's releases.

PiCode 0.2.7-beta
🟡 The beta channel
A preview of what is coming next, published ahead of the stable channel. It is built from the
beta branch.
It installs beside your stable PiCode, not on top of it. Its own folder, its own settings
and its own extensions — nothing is shared, so you can keep both open, and removing this one
leaves the other untouched.
How it updates: a beta install reads its own feed at
updates/beta/win32/x64/<target>/latest.json, so it is never handed a stable release — and a
stable install is never handed this one.
