First release of flow_local — push-to-talk voice dictation into any app, fully local and fully offline. Speech never leaves your machine.
Install — a table of the three installers, plus pipx install flow-local.
The installers are unsigned, so the OS will warn you: Windows SmartScreen ("More info → Run anyway"), macOS Gatekeeper (right-click → Open).
First launch downloads the ~1.6 GB Whisper model.
What it does — the five hotkeys, faster-whisper for STT, optional Ollama for cleanup.
Known limitations — Linux is X11 only, macOS needs Accessibility permission, and the macOS/Linux builds are not hardware-tested.
