Summary

Documentation/governance-only architecture plan for repository layout simplification before any file moves.

  • Adds proposed future layout plan: www/ for browser-served application, api/ for Node/API/server application, and dev/ for developer-only workspace.
  • Documents deployment model, Browser -> API -> Postgres/R2 flow, developer local-runtime flow, migration strategy, stacked PR sequence, and hard migration rules.
  • Updates BACKLOG_MASTER.md with Owner planned work for Repository Architecture Simplification.
  • Bumps Project Instructions version to 2026.06.28.004.

Scope

No file moves. No runtime code changes. No UI/API/database implementation changes. No package.json command changes.

Validation

  • PASS: git diff --check
  • PASS: npm run validate:canonical-structure
