NativeLink 1.7.2 strengthens the operational side of remote execution: how workers move through their lifecycle, how scheduling failures surface, and how individual builds can be observed. Worker lifecycle management gives operators more control over execution capacity, while queued actions whose requirements no worker can satisfy now fail instead of remaining indefinitely unresolved.
This release also introduces opt-in experimental Buck2 file capture and invocation isolation. Together, these capabilities provide a foundation for collecting build-specific evidence while preserving invocation boundaries. They are explicit configuration choices, allowing operators to evaluate capture within their existing security and deployment policies.
Several smaller fixes reinforce that work. Signal-terminated worker property commands are handled correctly, and directory construction retries retain the same lock. Dependency updates and more resilient CI input fetching round out the release. The common thread is clearer failure behavior and better operational visibility, helping teams understand what happened when a remote build encounters trouble.
