Silicon v2.7: Camera Roll
What's New?
- Added camera roll. Press Q and E to tilt the camera sideways
- Added camera roll as a cinematic keyframe parameter
- Added camera roll to info labels
- Saved files now contain the current camera view distance as metadata. This allows cinematics to be played with the intended viewing angle.
- Because of format changes to save files, any previously saved animations will no longer be compatible
- Silicon now overrides right click and arrow keys look around, allowing you to change camera sensitivity (previously freecam rotation slider)
- Camera control keybinds now only work while the attached Cubic Castles window is focused (previously focusing on Silicon also allowed these hotkeys)
- Bug fix on multi instance screen reduces CPU usage. Faulty logic was previously making it try to inject memory hundreds of times a second
- Added default preset 4: /skycam
- Multiplied base cinematic speed by 10
- Added and changed some hotkeys
- UI revamped to fit the new changes
*Animations involving changes with roll may exhibit visible stutter at high speeds due to frequent re-computation of the up vector every single frame. There is currently no workaround for this other than filming at a low speed and and accelerating the footage in post-processing.
*BUG: Animations will not show anything when being played if the animation was not imported. This will be fixed in a future update, but for now, you can mitigate this by saving your animation and then loading it.
