Added
- A new Audio Card menu in recovery mode. Pick your card (IQaudIO CODEC, HiFiBerry or AudioInjector) and the unit rewrites
config.txt, resets the mixer to a known-good state for that card, and reboots. Pick the card you already have to get your mixer settings back to a known-good state. - The recovery main menu now shows which audio card is active.
- MOD-UI has a new on-device SFZ builder: make your own sfizz samplers from your own samples, right on the pi-Stomp!
- Support for the Compute Module 5 and the Pi 500.
Changed
- The first boot now sets up the mixer for the audio card enabled in
config.txt, before JACK starts. The known-good mixer states live in thepistomp-audiopackage, so they can be updated over-the-air. - Factory Reset now also resets the mixer for your card. If it can't tell which card you have, it leaves your mixer settings alone.
- File selectors now appear at the top of a plugin's settings in MOD-UI, as they tend to be the most important field when present.
- pi-Stomp now prefers WPA2 when an access point offers both WPA2 and WPA3 (SAE). (#258 on pi-stomp)
Fixed
- A CM5 or Pi 500 was set up as a v2 (Core), with the boot splash upside-down. Only a Pi 5 was detected as v3 (Tre).
- Leftover Wi-Fi driver settings from images before 2026-08-26 are cleaned up, so only one file sets the brcmfmac options.
Known issues
- On a pi-Stomp Core (v2), the LCD sometimes stays white after you reboot from the recovery menu or shut down from the pi-Stomp menu. Un-plug and re-plug the power and the problem will resolve.
