1. Acceptance

By installing or using SLURM Manager ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Open-source license

The app is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to the MIT License terms included in the repository.

The MIT License means the software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

3. Intended use

SLURM Manager is designed to connect to HPC clusters that you own or have explicit authorisation to access. You are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have permission to access any SSH server you configure in the app
  • The security and confidentiality of your SSH credentials
  • Compliance with the acceptable use policies of your institution, employer, or cloud provider
  • Any actions taken on a cluster through the app (job submission, cancellation, requeueing)

Do not use this app to access systems you are not authorised to use. Unauthorised access to computer systems may violate local, national, or international law.

4. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The app is provided without any warranty, express or implied
  • The developer does not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose
  • The developer is not responsible for any loss of data, job failures, cluster downtime, or other damages arising from use of the app
  • You use the app entirely at your own risk

5. Limitation of liability

In no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of computational resources, arising from your use of or inability to use the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how data is (and is not) handled. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Third-party software

The app uses open-source libraries (sshj, BouncyCastle, Jetpack Compose, Hilt, Room, WorkManager, and others). Each library is subject to its own license. The full dependency list is available in the README.

8. Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Updates will be committed to the repository with a new Last updated date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
