v0.3.1

v0.3.1 Pre-release
Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 15 Oct 08:45

Added

  • Minecraft 26.3. New jar landmark-0.3.1+mc26.3.jar (Java 25, Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer). Minecraft 26.3 moved from GLFW to SDL and renamed some rendering classes, so the 26.2 jar does not load on it.

Fixed

  • Mouse input on Minecraft 26.3: its mouse buttons start at 1 instead of 0, so left clicks were ignored (no panning, no selecting or teleporting).

Changed

  • Key handling uses Minecraft's own key constants, so it follows the key space of whichever version is running.

Not verified: drag-to-pan and a real server on 26.3 were not tested by the author; please report problems.

v0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 11 Oct 09:42

Landmark 0.3.0

New

  • Minecraft 1.21 to 26.2. There is now one jar per range of Minecraft versions, and the file name says which: landmark-0.3.0+mc<first>-<last>.jar. Pick the one for your version (table below) and use only that one.
  • Choose which waypoint sets are shown. A Waypoints button in the side panel (shown when you have Xaero's Minimap or JourneyMap waypoints) opens a list of your sets and groups with a count for each. By default Landmark draws only the set Xaero's is showing, or the JourneyMap groups that are switched on, like those mods do. Tick the sets you want, or switch the mode to All sets in the screen or in Settings.
  • Sets are per dimension, like in Xaero's. The sets screen has the same Auto / Overworld / Nether / The End button as the map (it is one shared setting), and it lists the sets of the dimension you are looking at. A set called "Default" in the Overworld and one in the Nether are separate sets.
  • Overworld and Nether waypoints on both maps (off by default; Settings, or a button on the sets screen). Nether waypoints appear on the Overworld map with the coordinates scaled by 8, and Overworld ones on the Nether map divided by 8. They are drawn as rings and the tooltip shows their real position. Their sets are listed under their own heading on the sets screen, so same-named sets never mix.
  • Waypoint tooltips now also show the Xaero's set or JourneyMap group.

Fixed

  • Several rendering and input differences between Minecraft versions found while adding the older ones (map tiles on 1.21.1, the background covering the map on 1.21.5, the settings list's scroll position).
  • A waypoint note in Settings sat under the wrong row.

Which jar

Jar Minecraft Java Fabric Loader
mc1.21-1.21.1 1.21, 1.21.1 21+ 0.15.11+
mc1.21.2-1.21.4 1.21.2 – 1.21.4 21+ 0.16.9+
mc1.21.5 1.21.5 21+ 0.16.10+
mc1.21.6-1.21.8 1.21.6 – 1.21.8 21+ 0.16.13+
mc1.21.9-1.21.10 1.21.9, 1.21.10 21+ 0.17.2+
mc1.21.11 1.21.11 21+ 0.17.3+
mc26.1-26.1.2 26.1 – 26.1.2 25+ 0.18.4+
mc26.2 26.2 25+ 0.19.2+

All of them need Fabric API (any version) and any newer Fabric Loader is fine. Mod Menu, JourneyMap and Xaero's Minimap are optional.

Notes

  • If you update Minecraft, replace the jar with the one for the new version and delete the old one.
  • Upgrading from 0.2.x: nothing to do. Your settings, imported map data and saved spawns are used as they are; new settings start at their defaults.
  • On exactly Minecraft 1.21, JourneyMap's only build does not call plugins, so JourneyMap waypoints are not shown there (1.21.1 and newer are fine). Xaero's Minimap waypoints are unaffected.
  • Each jar was run in a real Minecraft client for the versions it covers (26.1 itself has no Fabric API, so 26.1.1 and 26.1.2 were used). Not every version has been played on the live server yet; please report anything odd with your version and latest.log.
  • The Chillzone web map only exports the Overworld, so the Nether and The End show "No claim data" unless you import data for them. Client-side only.
  • Written with the help of an AI coding assistant and tested by the maintainer; the source is MIT licensed.

v0.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 10 Oct 09:39

Landmark 0.2.1

New

  • Dimension button in the side panel. It cycles Auto (follows the dimension you are in) → Overworld → Nether → The End, so you can look at a dimension you are not in. Your choice is remembered when you close and reopen the map, and after a restart.

Fixed

  • Large exports could not be imported. Zips with more than 5,000 files were rejected; the limit is now 50,000 (the 3 GB size limit is unchanged). This affects exports made with a finer tile detail than the Ultra preset.
  • The Ultra preset's description in Settings now shows the measured size (300 MB or more) instead of an old estimate.

Other

  • The screenshots in the README were retaken from the current version.

Notes

  • The Chillzone web map only exports the Overworld, so the Nether and The End show "No claim data" unless you import data for them.
  • Needs Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API and Java 25. Client-side only.
  • Written with the help of an AI coding assistant and tested by the maintainer; the source is MIT licensed.

v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 07 Oct 21:16

Landmark 0.2.0

A big update since 0.1.1.

New

  • Settings screen. Open it from the Settings button on the map, or from the mod's page in Mod Menu (optional). It has:
    • the keybind (with a conflict check; it is the same setting as Options > Controls),
    • feature toggles,
    • every colour the mod draws with, each with a colour picker, a hex box that always matches it, and a Reset,
    • an export quality choice (Low, Medium, High, Ultra) that decides the tile detail in the export script you copy.
  • Hide claims button on the map: shows the bare terrain, and hides claims and their spawn pins until you turn it back on.
  • Waypoints from Xaero's Minimap and JourneyMap are shown on the map (on by default, optional). Neither mod is required.
  • Saved spawn locations: turning "Remember spawn locations" off now hides the saved pins, and there is a Delete all button with a count.
  • Optional outline around every non-open land (off by default, because with thousands of lands it can slow the map down).
  • You can now drop the export zip directly on the help page; there is no need to go back to the map first.

Fixed

  • The map was empty after coming back from the help page.
  • Panning lagged when zoomed far out.
  • Text overlapped or was cut off on small windows and large GUI scales. The help page now scrolls when it does not fit.
  • The tooltip now shows the members of a land even when its owner is known.

Notes

  • "Other lands" is now one plain, editable colour (it used to vary per land). If you had changed that setting before, it resets.
  • Needs Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API and Java 25. Client-side only.
  • Written with the help of an AI coding assistant and tested by the maintainer; the source is MIT licensed.

v0.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 06 Oct 20:55

Landmark 0.1.1

A small update to 0.1.0: no changes to how the map works.

Changed

  • Added the mod icon.
  • README polish and screenshots; a generator for demo data (fake lands and owners) that the screenshots are made from.

Notes

  • Needs Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API and Java 25. Client-side only.
  • Written with the help of an AI coding assistant and tested by the maintainer; the source is MIT licensed.

v0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 06 Oct 02:40

Landmark 0.1.0

First release: a client-side Fabric mod that shows a map of land claims for fast /lands spawn <land> teleporting.

What's in it

  • Map of land claims (press M, rebindable). Lands with a public spawn are highlighted; click one, confirm, and the mod runs /lands spawn <name>.
  • Live open-spawn list from the server's own command suggestions, with no setup.
  • Claim shapes, names and terrain from an export of the web map: an export script you run once in your own browser console, and a zip importer (drop the zip on the Minecraft window). The format is documented in docs/export-format.md.
  • Zoom and pan (down to the whole world), search, and claim tooltips.
  • A help screen that walks through the export, and learned spawn points (pins where you arrived after a teleport).
  • MIT licensed.

Fixed during development

  • Empty map after returning from child screens, lag when zoomed far out, and missing members in tooltips.

Notes

  • Needs Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API and Java 25. Client-side only.
  • Written with the help of an AI coding assistant and tested by the maintainer; the source is MIT licensed.
