Local MCP installation

tethered-0.2.6.mcpb is the current optional local MCP client bundle (metadata and documentation update). It requires Tethered 1.2.0 or later installed and running on the same Mac, Task sessions enabled, and Pro access. It does not install or host the Tethered app. Client plugin installation instructions.

Use saved task profiles during local builds, tests, or data-processing jobs to request a power mode, keep the Mac awake, and deprioritize or suspend eligible background apps. Process actions can activate throughout the task or at warning/critical memory pressure. Ending or expiring the session releases its temporary controls and resumes apps Tethered suspended. Users configure profiles and exceptions in Tethered.

Alfred workflow

Download Tethered.alfredworkflow below and double-click to import into Alfred 5 with Powerpack. Type tethered to browse power controls, Caffeinate, saved profiles and presets, or tethered status for fresh status. Use tethered awake 30 for a timed session. Tethered must be installed and running; some actions require Pro or supported hardware.

Scripts and the live Tethered status bridge have been exercised on macOS. Alfred import and workflow-object execution have not been verified. Instructions and inspectable JavaScript source are included in the workflow archive.
