Important fix: dark / light switch

  • The sun / moon switch could wipe your Display Settings (#22). Switching twice in quick succession could leave /boot/config/plugins/dynamix/dynamix.cfg with nothing but the theme in it, losing every other display, notification, parity and scrub setting. The switch now changes only the theme setting, checks that the file still holds everything afterwards, and puts back anything that went missing while the Unraid API rewrote the file. If it cannot confirm that, it tells you so instead of failing silently.
If you used the switch on an earlier version, it's worth a quick look at Settings → Display Settings and your notification and parity schedules.

New: update dot on Docker icons

  • An orange dot on a container's icon when an update is ready (#24), whether the container is running or stopped. It sits at the top right of the icon, next to the usual status dot, and shows on the Dashboard's Docker tile, on the group and FolderView folder icons, and in the Docker tab's compact list.
  • With the Dashboard's "started only" switch on, a stopped container that has an update stays in the tile, so the update isn't missed.

Fixes

  • Favorites switched off (#25): with "Favorites enabled" set to No in Display Settings, Unraid's Favorites tab is now hidden as well.
  • FolderView3 (#21): the container start delay ("wait") field on the Docker page is wide enough to show its number again.

New: choose your fonts

Under Settings → User Utilities → Aurora Theme there's a new Fonts setting, right below the accent colour:

  • Aurora: Inter and Space Grotesk (default): the theme's fonts, as before.
  • Unraid default: Clear Sans: keeps Unraid's own fonts (Clear Sans for text and headings, Bitstream for code), with everything else of the theme.

The login page always uses the Aurora fonts.

Fix

  • Top layout: with the array usage indicator switched on (Display Settings), the Stats and Tools tabs were pushed out of the menu on screens around 1440px wide. On wide screens the indicator now sits in the top bar next to the Unraid logo, so every tab fits again. It reads well in the light palette too, and moves back to the menu on smaller screens.

README

  • All screenshots are new, taken with demo data: Docker groups with their app icons, VM groups, two GPUs on the Dashboard. Two new ones show the VMs tab and the GPU tiles.

Your order, your groups

  • Containers keep Unraid's order instead of being sorted A–Z, and they start in the order they are listed (#15).
  • Drag and drop: unlock the list with the lock button in the menu, then drag containers within a group or into another group. Whole groups move by the grip in front of their name, or with the ↑ / ↓ buttons. These controls only show while the list is unlocked.
  • Group icons (#16): click an app's icon in a group header (or on a Dashboard group chip) to open its menu. Stopped apps now show up too, greyed out.
  • VM groups (#16): the VMs tab gets groups like the Docker tab, plus a buttons column (start / stop, group, menu). The groups also show on the Dashboard's Virtual Machines tile.

Layout

  • Hide the sidebar (#17): in the sidebar layout, a button at the left of the top bar hides the sidebar completely, giving the page the full width. Your browser remembers it.
  • Server card (#7): shows just the server's name; the long remote-access address is gone.

FolderView3

  • The Aurora / FolderView3 switch is on the VMs tab too ("FolderViewPlugin" is now called FolderView3).
  • In FolderView3's view, folders and containers can be dragged anywhere, including to the very top.
  • On the Dashboard, a line sets each folder apart from the containers after it.
  • Autostart: in Aurora's view the containers start in the order Aurora shows; a custom sequence from FolderView3's Autostart tab still applies.
  • FolderView3's settings page is tidier: one heading style, label and control on one row, cards for the Dashboard and backup options.

Fixes

  • "Updates available" no longer counts containers without update information ("not available").
  • No "0B" memory total in a group before Unraid has a reading.
  • Long group names end in "…" and keep their count visible; long names checked on phones.
  • On phones, the footer credit wraps into view instead of sitting off-screen.
  • The "…" menus on the Docker and VMs tabs open to the left of the button, so they stay on screen.
  • The issue form names the browser ("Brave 155") instead of pasting the whole user-agent string.

Thanks to everyone who reported issues and ideas. Keep them coming!

FolderView support, with a switch between Aurora and FolderView

  • With the FolderView plugin installed, a switch beside Docker Containers chooses the view: Aurora (compact columns, Aurora groups, filters and search) or FolderViewPlugin (FolderView's folders). The choice is saved on the server for every browser. Switching to FolderViewPlugin first explains that not every FolderView feature is supported yet.
  • In the FolderViewPlugin view, folders come first and containers are sorted A–Z inside and outside them. A click anywhere on a folder row opens it, and folders and their open containers are set apart visually. On the Dashboard a click on a folder opens it in place; FolderView's own menu is on right-click or long-press.

Aurora groups

  • Containers are sorted A–Z inside every group and in Ungrouped.
  • Group headers show the running apps as icons with a status dot, and the group's total CPU and RAM right in the table's CPU and Memory columns (for example 0.00% and 2.3MiB / 15.2GiB). CPU values show two decimals everywhere.
  • The groups, Ungrouped included, also appear on the Dashboard as chips that open a panel with their containers. Open or closed is shared with the Docker tab.

Dashboard

  • Virtual Machines Usage: one card per running VM with CPU, memory, disk and network.
  • Intel hybrid CPUs: P / E badges keep the core boxes from overflowing.
  • GPU Statistics: the apps using the GPU are a row of icons under the title Apps using the GPU.
  • Collapsed tiles keep their title beside the icon, and the System tile's text is centred like the others.

Settings and more

  • New Accent colour setting on the Aurora settings page, with a picker and Default.
  • The sidebar's server card shows the IP behind a myunraid.net address; long names end in "…" everywhere, with the full name on hover.

Fixes

  • The Docker list could take about 35 seconds on phones; it now loads in about 2 seconds.
  • On phones, the quick actions row made every page wider than the screen; pages now fit, and the Dashboard tiles show two containers per row.
  • Dialogs fit on phones, and the footer no longer covers the end of long pages (such as FolderView's folder editor).

Docker page loads much faster with many containers

  • With 36 containers the Docker list used to appear after about 2.7 seconds; now it takes about 1 second. Some of the theme's table styles made the browser redo a lot of work for every container, and that grew with every container. Those styles have been rewritten. Plugins, VMs, Dashboard and Main were checked as well and load as fast as without the theme.
  • While the list loads, the table shows Loading containers…, with a note if Docker takes longer than usual. When a page takes a moment to open after a menu click, Opening Docker… (or the page's name) appears at the bottom.

Array usage indicator redesigned

  • With Settings → Display Settings → Show array utilization indicator on, the menu shows a compact widget at the start of the quick action buttons: drive icon, Array with the percentage, and a bar in green, orange or red following your warning and critical levels. Click it to open Main.
  • In the sidebar layout it spans the top of the Quick actions card instead of lying over the buttons.

Display Settings now fully respected

  • Show banner and Custom banner: your banner image is shown in the header (top bar and sidebar layout); Show banner background color fade is supported.
  • Header custom text color, secondary text color and background color apply.
  • Favorites enabled: No also hides the theme's starred cards on Settings and Tools.
  • Page view: Tabbed: tab icons no longer touch their labels.
  • With the Azure or Gray colour theme the plugin now stays out entirely, as described on its settings page.
  • Page headings use the page's real title, for example CPU Pinning and UPS Settings.

Other fixes

  • Apps → Action Center: the Update selected applications / Select all / Clear bar is no longer covered by the footer.

GPU tile: "idle" instead of 0 MHz

  • When a GPU has nothing to do, Intel's integrated graphics stop their clock to save power, and the GPU Statistics plugin reports 0 MHz. The tile now shows idle there. As soon as something uses the GPU (a transcode, for example), the real clock speed appears again.
  • NVIDIA and AMD tiles: PCIe Gen (Max) and Lanes (Max) both sit on the right of their row, and the power state reads State: P2 with a space.

Choose when automatic updates run

  • New setting under Settings → Aurora Theme → Check and install: every hour (as before), every day, or every week, at a time you pick (server time).
  • The Update box shows the schedule, for example Automatic updates on, every Sunday at 03:00.
  • After an update installed by hand, the box no longer shows the last automatic check's outdated result.

Redesigned GPU Statistics tile (for the GPU Statistics plugin)

  • The tile has a proper heading with the GPU's name under it, and one short line with vendor, driver, load, temperature and processes.
  • Each reading has its own compact row: the name on the left, the value on the right, and a slim bar under readings that have one. Long values wrap instead of squeezing the name, also on phones.
  • Active Apps only shows while an app is using the GPU.

Fewer "not available" rows on the Plugins page

  • Unraid checks each plugin for updates only once, and a moment's network trouble left that plugin's row on not available until the next check. That happened to any plugin now and then, not just this one. Such a row is now checked again in the background, up to three times, and shows its real status a moment later. A plugin whose server really can't be reached still shows not available.
  • Aurora Theme's own update check needs just one request to GitHub's file servers instead of two redirects, so it fails less often.

Phone layout fixes across the webGUI

  • Dashboard: tile titles always sit beside their icon. The server tile's stop, reboot and power buttons no longer squeeze the name and description. The four System cards (RAM, boot device, log filesystem, Docker vdisk) now share one height, with their rings level. The Interface selects get a row of their own. The Array, pool, Shares and Users lists fit their columns.
  • Header: the update notice is the round download button in both layouts, and it no longer overlaps the notification and menu buttons. The logo is sized for phones, and long server names are shortened.
  • Wide tables (Main, VMs, Plugins, Unassigned Devices) fade at the right edge while there is more to scroll.
  • VM editor: labels sit above their fields. Before, the form was 1200px wide and its fields were off the screen.
  • Apps: the cards in the home rows fit the screen, and the next card peeks in.
  • Main, Array Operation: Maintenance mode is part of the Start card, and the empty status pill is gone.
  • "Back to top" and "Move to end" no longer sit on top of each other.
  • System Information values wrap. The notifications panel's Archive All is a small button, and the header search field uses the theme's colours.
  • Share page arrows, notification settings checkboxes, the feedback form's issue types and plugin names on the Plugins page are tidied.
