New in this version

• Portable, like Ledjoro. Pagjoro now keeps its settings, recent files list and a safety copy of unsaved work in a Pagjoro-Data folder next to Pagjoro.exe. Copy the program together with that folder and everything moves with it. Your existing theme and recent files are brought across the first time. If the program is somewhere it cannot write (for example Program Files), it falls back to %APPDATA%\Pagjoro.
• Make Pagjoro your default PDF app. Help, Make Pagjoro the Default PDF App tells Windows that Pagjoro can open PDF files and opens Windows' Default apps page, with the steps to choose it. Windows does not allow a program to choose itself, so the final step is yours. This is optional and can be undone with "Remove entries".
• Centred start screen. With no document open, the logo and the Open button now sit in the middle of the window.
• A cleaner About window, showing the version, where your files are kept (with an Open Folder button), keyboard shortcuts and what Pagjoro is made with.
• More fonts when adding or editing text: about 20 families installed in Windows, including Cyrillic and Greek letters. A font from Windows is stored inside the document once, so the file grows a little.

• Edit text and pictures on the page; click a mark to move, edit or delete it

• This is an alpha: keep a copy of any file you work on.
• Edited or partly redacted text is re-set in a different font from the original.
• Scanning and the Microsoft Office route have had the least testing.
• Windows may show a "protected your PC" notice because the program has no Microsoft certificate yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

Every release is signed; Pagjoro.exe.sig is the release signature, and Check for Updates only accepts updates that carry a valid one.

A free, open-source PDF toolkit for Windows that runs entirely on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

This is an alpha. It is for trying out and giving feedback, not yet for documents you cannot afford to lose. Please keep a copy of any file you work on.

What you can do

Read and navigate

• Open PDFs (including password-protected ones), zoom, fit to width or page, jump to a page
• Page thumbnails, document outline, search with match case / whole words
• Recent files, drag and drop, print

Mark up

• Highlight, underline, strike through, notes, freehand drawing, rectangles and ovals
• Marks list to review and remove comments
• Add text and pictures anywhere on a page

Organize pages

• Rotate, delete, move, extract, insert blank pages or pages from another file
• Merge files, split a document, crop pages, drag to reorder thumbnails

Forms

• Fill in form fields, and add your own text fields and check boxes

Stamps and numbering

• Watermarks, headers and footers, page numbers, Bates numbers

Protect

• Password to open, owner password and permissions (printing, copying, changing)
• Redaction: mark areas or find and redact patterns (emails, card numbers and more), then apply
• Remove hidden data, digitally sign with a certificate on your computer, check signatures

Review and convert

• Compare two documents word by word
• Edit document information, reduce file size
• Export pages as images, export text, turn pictures into a PDF

Make it yours

• Theme dropdown: Dark, Light and Night
• Check for Updates inside the app

Known limits

• Redaction removes whole text lines or pictures that touch a marked area, then draws a black box. Always check the result.
• Not included yet: OCR for scanned pages, converting Office files, scanner support, accessibility checker, batch actions.

Download and verify

Download Pagjoro.exe and run it. There is no installer, and it needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).

Windows may show a "protected your PC" notice because Pagjoro is new and has no Microsoft certificate. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

Every release is signed. Pagjoro.exe.sig is the release signature, and Check for Updates in the app only accepts updates carrying a valid one. You can also compare the SHA-256 checksum below against the file you downloaded:
