Peak memory behavior for connectivity, especially under the enhancements to connectivity routines like in #1560, is untracked. We should add some peakmem benchmarks.
So far, it seems like getting chunked grids is complicated and maybe not important anyway, so I'll focus on the basic peakmem benchmarks for the PR.
