Releases: Ubani-Studio/clo3d-mcp

v0.1.1: works out of the box

Choose a tag to compare

@Ubani-Studio Ubani-Studio released this 15 Oct 19:42

The first release that works out of the box. If you tried clo3d-mcp before and every call timed out, this is the one to retry.

Fixed

  • The plugin now listens. CLO3D's embedded Python never ran the old background thread. On Windows the plugin now polls through a native timer on CLO3D's own event loop, so CLO3D stays usable while it listens. On macOS it falls back to a blocking loop (the Script Editor stays busy while listening). Thanks @adriendelmas (#3).
  • The server starts. mcp is pinned below 2, and the server uses instructions= where it passed an argument no mcp release accepts. Thanks @marcoleder (#2).
  • macOS and Linux find each other. The plugin and server now use the same folder on every platform (tempfile.gettempdir(), or CLO3D_MCP_DIR to set it yourself).
  • 12 more tools exposed and several CLO API calls corrected, including GetFabricCount. Thanks @marcoleder and @adriendelmas.
  • Issue #1, reported by @sculptusflynn with a full diagnosis from @johannastrachel: thank you both.

Changed

  • Install from GitHub until a PyPI release: uvx --from git+https://github.com/Ubani-Studio/clo3d-mcp clo3d-mcp. See the README for Claude Code and Claude Desktop.
  • No CLO SDK material in the repository. The plugin uses only the Python API that ships inside CLO3D.
  • Copyright: Alabo MacPepple-Jaja.

Tested

On Windows 11 with CLO3D 2025 by @adriendelmas, and on macOS (Apple Silicon) with CLO3D 2026.1 by @marcoleder. If you run another version, say so in Discussions.
