⚓ Windrose Dedicated Server Docker v1.6.4

A stability-focused patch that hardens world switching and backup clarity for mixed RocksDB and RocksDB_v2 environments.

Changes

  • Improved dual-save-root safety in world operations:
    • ./windrose switch now explicitly states WorldIslandId is global in ServerDescription.json.
    • Added warning when both roots exist and the selected world ID is found only in the non-active root.
  • Improved backup operator visibility:
    • backup.sh now logs that BACKUP_SCOPE=save|both archives the full R5/Saved tree.
    • Logs now clearly indicate whether RocksDB, RocksDB_v2, or both were detected and included.
  • Updated stable references to v1.6.4 in release-facing docs/config:
    • .env.example
    • README.md

Notes

  • No destructive migration was added.
  • No automatic copy/merge between save roots was introduced.
  • Behavior remains backward-compatible and persistence-safe.

Captain's Note

  • Runtime script migration status: canonical runtime paths remain under /opt/windrose/scripts.
  • Root compatibility wrappers status: entrypoint.sh and healthcheck.sh compatibility wrappers remain retired/removed and are not reintroduced.

Upgrade

  1. Keep production pinned:
    • IMAGE_TAG=v1.6.4
  2. Upgrade with:
    • ./windrose update
  3. Verify world mapping after upgrade:
    • ./windrose worlds
    • ./windrose worlds-check
