Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force Recomp — Enhanced & Stability Edition
This release brings major visual enhancements and stability fixes to the native PC recompilation of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force (ULES-00600 / ULUS-10136), featuring pristine 60/120 FPS interpolation, crash fixes, and an overhauled High-Definition texture pack.
🛠️ Engine & Recompilation Fixes
1. 60 / 120 FPS Interpolation Artifact Fix
- Fixed: Resolved the intermittent visual glitches (stretched geometry, flashing letters, and temporary texture artifacts lasting ~1 frame) when navigating menus or during duel animations at 60 FPS or 120 FPS.
- Technical Detail: Patched the recompiled presentation interpolator (
iaudit). The engine now safely discards mismatched quad interpolation pairs (match[j] = -1), preserving smooth high-refresh-rate playback without visual tearing or distortion.
2. Match Duel / Side Deck Crash Fix
- Fixed: Fixed a critical crash where the game froze on a black screen and terminated when proceeding to the Side Deck setup after winning Game 1 of a 3-match duel.
🎨 Enhanced Textures & Asset Upgrades
- 3D Field Spells in Full HD:
- Fixed an issue where activating field spells (such as Umi / A Legendary Ocean) caused the 3D duel arena to drop back to low-resolution PSP textures. All field spells now render with high-definition textures, full dynamic water/lighting shaders, and anisotropic filtering.
- Mini Card Thumbnails (Trunk / Deck Editor) HD Fix:
- Resolved missing palette hashes for Sheet 7 (
cards/tiny/6679_6957.png). - Cards like Searchlightman (ID
6683) and all other cards in the 6679–6957 range now display in full high resolution in both the trunk thumbnail list and expanded card preview.
- Resolved missing palette hashes for Sheet 7 (
- Pre-cached BC7 GPU Pipeline:
- Ultra-fast load times with near-instant direct GPU texture decompression.
