Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories Recompiled v0.5.9
Fix
The Library no longer hangs on a black screen after a duel that awarded more than one card.
Full Changelog: v0.5.8...v0.5.9
Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories Recompiled v0.5.8
Extract over your existing install. Saves, save states and settings carry over.
Fixes
A replaced duelist portrait came out speckled, with a colour cast over the whole tile. The picture was being overwritten while it was still being read. Replace the picture once more after updating and it comes out clean
Imported card art, thumbnails and portraits now pick the nearest palette colour for every pixel instead of a box average, so soft pictures and scans no longer get salt-and-pepper noise
Fixed a freeze that occurred when dark hole effect was placed on a monster.
Full Changelog: v0.5.7...v0.5.8
Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories Recompiled v0.5.7
Extract over your existing install. Saves, save states and settings carry over.
New: Randomize (VIEW → Drop Table Manager)
One button rerolls every duelist's drop tables from stock. It asks twice, and nothing is written until Save.
New: Equip pairings in the Fusion Manager
Right-click an equip pairing to remove it, or an equip or monster to add one. The window now shows the pairings the game actually uses, Card Manager edits included.
New: Card set (MODS → Card set)
Which card set is live, your own cards or the Dev Card Effects set, now survives a restart. Same switch as the Card Manager's button.
Fixes
Duel freeze: the intermittent mid-duel lockup was traced to a CD pause completion arriving inside the same instant as its acknowledge and getting lost. Fixed in the runtime.
Fusion Hint went dark whenever any equip card's monster list had been edited
Drop tables and Drop Missing Cards never applied to a duelist whose deck had been edited in the CPU Manager
A CPU Manager deck list laid over the stock deck, so removed stock cards came back at the next launch. A listed deck now replaces the pool
Heal and burn spells whose amount was changed without changing the effect did nothing
Dev Card Effects turned itself off at every launch
A big fusion import took seconds and could get the game closed by the watchdog. Imports are instant now
The Card Manager re-flowed its window when a magic card was selected
Revert to Stock now says to press it again, in the popup and in the row itself
Heals count past 8000, up to 9999
Changes
The Card Manager states the title strip size (96x14)
Equip lists in card.ini can name every monster (the cap was 256)
Full Changelog: v0.5.6...v0.5.7
Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories Recompiled v0.5.6
Fixed
- Windows scaling for the Card Manager: the Save row and the help text now fit the window
- Custom card art thumbnails no longer scale the entire card art; the duel thumbnail is a centre zoom like the stock ones
- Keyboard hotkeys not being synced with the launcher: the launcher now edits the same
keybinds.inithe game reads (#17)
Full Changelog: v0.5.5...v0.5.6
Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories Recompiled v0.5.5
Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories Recompiled — v0.5.5
Extract over your existing install. Saves, save states and settings carry over.
New: CPU Manager (VIEW → CPU Manager)
Rename any CPU, change their decks and some AI customizations. Import and Export changes
New: MOD Import & Export (MODS → Import/Export)
Export all mod and manager settings including custom cards, art, descriptions, translations and more as one single file to share.
New: Library Placeholder MOD (MODS → Library Placeholder)
All cards are now visible in the Library without needing to use them first. Anything you don't own is grayed out so you can see what cards are available and what you still need for completion.
Fixes:
Credits performance fixed
The menu bar no longer opens by itself after minimizing, restoring or switching windows
Clicks in tool windows no longer reach the game's menu bar
CPU Manager Back to stock now resets deck, AI, name and portrait
CPU Manager Import now clears the deck overrides of duelists missing from the file
Dialogue Manager and Fusion Manager report a file dialog that fails to open instead of doing nothing silently
Every manager opens its files by UTF-8 path, for Windows user folders with accents
The kept translation is never deleted: Back to original and imports keep a dated backup
Importing the same translation twice no longer crashes
Changes:
Card title colors have moved to the card manager
Card manager changes are live, no need to toggle in MODS
Fusion manager changes are live, no need to toggle in MODS
Fusion Hint now has an additional option for players who don't want their hands held.
Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories Recompiled v0.5.4
Three windows you can leave open beside the game, each editing something the
original never let you touch. All three are experimental and will have
rough edges. None can hurt your save: every change is a file next to it, and
each has a Restore stock.
Fusion Manager (new) VIEW → FUSION MANAGER
Every fusion in the game, both ways round, and you can change any of them.
Pick a card to see Fuses with (every partner and what the pair makes, equips
included) beside Made from (every pair that makes it). Recipes is all
25,146 in one sortable list.
Right-click any row to change, delete or add a fusion. Delete all empties the table for building a set from scratch, and
sets import and export as plain text.
Turn it on with MODS → FUSION EDITS. It replaces the fusion table's disc
sectors, so the game's own loader brings your table in and everything reads it,
the AI planners included. A duel already running is patched in memory too.
Card Manager VIEW → CARD MANAGER
Rewrite any of the 722 cards: name, description, face art, duel thumbnail,
ATK, DEF, both Guardian Stars, type, level, attribute, price, password and
frame color. Changes show up everywhere the card is drawn, because they are
applied where the game reads rather than where it draws.
Cards can also do things. The Effects tab gives a monster effects. Time Wizard's is two lines: a 50% roll to Raigeki the opponent's field, otherwise it destroys your own monsters and takes half their ATK off
your LP. Magic cards, equips, rituals, field cards and traps work the same way,
all through the game's own effect engine.
Export Config packs every edited card into one .ygocards file to share.
Dialogue Manager VIEW → DIALOGUE MANAGER
For translations. The campaign's dialogue exports to one plain text file
and a translated file imports back at runtime, without touching the disc. No
counting characters: long lines wrap and long pages split on import, and the
game's own codes stay as {1}, {2} next to the same words.
Also in this release
STARCHIPSreaches 999,999.
