Meridian 0.3.0
Full Changelog: v0.2.18...v0.2.19
What's new in 0.3.0
- A new home page. When no tab is open you see a big search field and cards for every day, designers, managers and developers: each shows what Meridian can do, lets you try it, and can set Meridian up for you (it only adds, never removes).
- Power up with AI. Set a Claude API key into Meridian like a gem: it's checked with Anthropic first, stored encrypted, and you see what it unlocks. Prefer free and private? A local model works too.
- A livelier ⌘T. Sections, a gliding highlight, key hints for what's selected, and ⇧↵ to open a result next to the current page.
- Shortcut tips. Switch tabs with the mouse a few times and Meridian shows you the keys for it (only a couple of times).
What's new in 0.2.20
- AI agents can reply to a specific Reddit comment: buttons that Reddit only builds on screen now appear for agents, and old Reddit's reply form opens.
- Agents can narrow the list of buttons on a big page (query / within) and scroll straight to an element.
- If the Mac's display is asleep, a screenshot wakes it (the screen stays locked).

What's new in 0.2.14
- X (Twitter) works for agents with the ad blocker on: the post composer is visible and typing is reliable.
- Agents can attach a photo or video to a post (upload_file). Meridian always asks you first and shows the exact file.
- Agents can take a screenshot of a background tab without switching your tab.
- Typing doesn't depend on your keyboard layout any more.
What's new in 0.2.13
- The Workbench button (code icon at the bottom of the sidebar) is there in every mode.
What's new in 0.2.12
- A coding agent in the Workbench can put the page it's working on right next to it in split view.
- Clearer Mission Control status and a readable Stop button; the Workbench header fits in half a window.
What's new in 0.2.11
- The Workbench is one click away: the code icon at the bottom of the sidebar (or ⇧⌘E). Its first screen says what it's for and starts with "Open a project folder"; in a project, one button starts your coding agent. Quick links to Mission Control and Secrets in its header.
- New Reddit (compose, settings) works with the ad blocker on.
What's new in 0.2.10
- New Reddit works with the ad blocker on (settings pages no longer stay blank).
- AI agents using Meridian can now see and use buttons and fields inside web components (new Reddit and many modern sites).
What's new in 0.2.9
- Your Mac asks about "Meridian Safe Storage" one last time after this update: click Always Allow. From now on every version is signed the same way, so it won't ask again when you update.
What's new in 0.2.8
- The welcome tour is all about moving in: bring everything from Arc (and stay signed in to your sites) in one step, or start fresh with a setup suggested from your apps — worked out on your computer. AI is offered later, once you've settled in.
- Clearer, plain-language heads-ups before any window your Mac shows.
What's new in 0.2.7
- Before any system window (keychain access, a Terminal window to install an agent, the default-browser confirmation, notification permission) Meridian now tells you briefly what will appear and why.
What's new in 0.2.6
- GitHub Copilot (and other agents that can't report whether you're signed in) is no longer shown as ready until you click Check; if it doesn't work, Meridian tells you why.
What's new in 0.2.5
- AI features now follow each provider's terms: Ask, Chat and the welcome tour use GitHub Copilot, a local model (Ollama, LM Studio) or your Claude API key. Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Qwen Code, Amp, Goose and Droid are available under Settings → AI → Other agents. Claude Code and Gemini CLI run in the Workbench terminal.
What's new in 0.2.4
- You can sign in to Google (Gmail, Drive, YouTube…): no more "This browser or app may not be secure".
What's new in 0.2.3
- Importing from Arc a second time merges: only new tabs and folders are added, no duplicate spaces.
What's new in 0.2.2
- Fixed: the Continue button in the welcome tour didn't respond to clicks.
What's new in 0.2.1
- The welcome tour no longer looks stuck after the first click: your AI is found in the background, and the button shows when it's working.
What's new in 0.2.0
- A new welcome tour. A few screens, almost no reading: bring everything from Arc, or get a setup suggested from your apps.
- Bring your own AI. GitHub Copilot, local models in Ollama / LM Studio, or your Claude API key; more agents under Settings → AI → Other agents.
- Ask from ⌘T. Type a question in the command bar and the answer appears right there. It knows Meridian too ("how do I split the screen?").
- Chat (⌥⌘J): a calm, Claude-app-style chat window with your conversations saved.
- Modes: Everyday, AI for work, Developer.
- Arc logins come over (macOS): spaces, tabs and the sites you were signed in to.
- Settings → AI shows which agents are installed and signed in, with one-click install / sign in.
