This release makes packaged Desktop updates safer and less disruptive by downloading them in the background and completing replacement only after a natural app quit.

  • Added silent packaged macOS updates that download in the background and install after a natural app quit.
  • Added one-shot release notes on the first launch after an automatic update.

Improved

  • Automatic update transactions now verify signed release policy, exact staged candidates, and an external recovery helper before replacement.

Fixed

  • Prevented window close, resident hide, and operating-system shutdown from applying a staged update.
