• New Writing Lock: while it's on, you can only switch between the current pen and the eraser, so you won't pick another pen by accident. Toggle it from the lock switch on the pen rack, the menu, or ⌥⌘L; the setting stays in sync with the tablet.
• New Relative ink width: when on, pen thickness is scaled to the current zoom as you write — write zoomed in, and it looks the same once you zoom back out. Toggle it on the pen rack or in the pen editor; the setting stays in sync with the tablet.
• Boards remember where you left off: reopening a board returns to the last position and zoom instead of the canvas origin.

This version changes how strokes are stored. When you open a workspace, existing strokes are converted to the new format in the background. After that, older versions of UniReader (0.2.6 and earlier, including an out-of-date Android app) will show the workspace's strokes as empty. Update UniReader on every Mac and tablet before using it.

New features & improvements

• Strokes are stored in a more compact format: documents and boards with lots of handwriting open noticeably faster, and workspaces take less space. This covers ink on PDFs, scratch pads and boards.
• When the tablet is connected to the Mac, you can lasso strokes on scratch pads and boards: circle to select, drag to move, drag a corner or edge handle to resize, and cut, copy or paste.
• The New Board window has a cleaner layout, and besides A4 / A5 / Letter / current screen you can type a page width and height.
• The Page Settings panel for paged boards now switches between This Page and All Pages at the bottom, starting on This Page: change the background, insert a page before or after, or delete the page; All Pages covers page size and backgrounds for several pages at once. Its toolbar icon is easier to recognize.
• For paged boards, Paper now only sets the paper color (page backgrounds live in Page Settings).

• New Board notes: a standalone document in your workspace that doesn't belong to any PDF. Open one in a tab and it's a board for free writing, drawing, and pasting images. Create it from the sidebar (right-click) or ⌃⌘N; it comes with pens, eraser, ruler, lasso select, zoom, clipboard, undo, paper backgrounds and a minimap. Images can be dropped, pasted or inserted, then moved, resized, and viewed full-size.
• When creating a board, choose an infinite canvas or paged. A paged board keeps one page size for the whole book (A4 / A5 / Letter / current screen, portrait or landscape) and offers blank / lined / square grid / dots / Cornell / two-column backgrounds, per page or for all pages at once. Pull past the bottom to add a page; the page list lets you insert and delete pages.
• Boards work on the tablet too: open the workspace in the tablet browser to write on a board, create infinite or paged boards, and change page backgrounds.
• Deleted boards go to the trash first and can be restored within the retention period.

• 笔记小窗：在侧栏右键一篇 Markdown 笔记，选「打开为小窗」，就能在阅读 PDF 的同时在旁边的小窗里记笔记。每篇笔记开一扇，再开同一篇会把已有的小窗提到前面；小窗会记住各篇的位置，工具栏里可以换一篇，或点「在标签页中打开」。
• Agent 输入框里用 @ 选文件：输入 @ 会弹出工作区里的 PDF 和 Markdown 笔记，按最近打开排序，边打字边筛选；用上下键或鼠标选中后，发送时会告诉 Agent 这是哪个文件（只附名字和位置，不附文件内容）。
• 截图后多了「复制图片」：按住 ⌥ 拖出一块区域，松手后的菜单里可以选问 Agent、复制图片或存为图片笔记；复制的图片按原清晰度生成。按住 ⌥⇧ 拖仍然直接存为图片笔记。

改进

• Markdown 笔记切到别的标签页再切回来，会停在原来的滚动位置。
• 笔记文件在 UniReader 外面被修改（比如在 Obsidian 里编辑）后，打开着的笔记会自动换成新内容；如果这边还有没保存的输入，以这边为准。笔记目录里新增、删除或改名文件，侧栏也会自动刷新。
• Agent 面板里的图片缩略图改为统一的圆角方块；鼠标停在上面会弹出预览，单击可以打开大图查看；移除按钮移到左上角，在浅色图片上也看得清。
• 给外部 Agent 用的 MCP 服务：可以只修改 Markdown 笔记里的某几处而不用整篇重写，可以按行分页读取、在笔记里搜索、查看标题大纲，也可以列出工作区里的全部笔记；笔记不用先打开就能读写，笔记小窗里的内容也能读到。

• Note windows: right-click a Markdown note in the sidebar and choose Open in Small Window to keep notes next to the PDF you are reading. Each note gets one window; opening the same note again brings its window to the front. Each window remembers its position, and its toolbar lets you switch to another note or choose Open in Tab.
• @ to pick files in the Agent input: typing @ shows the PDFs and Markdown notes in the workspace, most recently opened first, filtered as you type. Pick one with the arrow keys or the mouse, and when you send, the Agent is told which file you mean (only its name and location are attached, not its contents).
• Copy Image after a snip: ⌥-drag over an area and the menu that appears when you let go now offers Ask Agent, Copy Image and Save as Image Note. Copied images are rendered at full resolution. ⌥⇧-drag still saves an image note directly.

Improvements

• Switching away from a Markdown note tab and back keeps your scroll position.
• When a note file is changed outside UniReader (for example in Obsidian), the open note updates to the new content; if you have unsaved typing, your local text is kept. Adding, deleting or renaming files in note folders refreshes the sidebar automatically.
• Image thumbnails in the Agent panel are now uniform rounded squares; hover to see a preview and click to open the full image. The remove button moved to the top-left corner and stays visible on light images.
• MCP service for external agents: edit just a few places in a Markdown note instead of rewriting it, read a note page by page with line numbers, search inside a note, see its heading outline, and list every note in the workspace. Notes can be read and written without opening them first, and text in note windows is visible too.

• Enhance Scanned Pages: when a scanned PDF has yellowed paper, a gray background or faint text, turn on View › Enhance Scanned Pages for that document. The background turns white, text gets darker and edges get crisper. It only changes how pages are drawn on this Mac; the PDF file is not modified.
• In Settings › Reading › Scanned Page Enhancement you can adjust noise reduction, background whitening, text darkening and sharpening, and choose Black and white (removes color noise, but color figures turn gray too) or Fine processing (slower; works at twice the resolution for smoother text edges). Restore Defaults brings everything back.
• For now it applies to the main reading area only; the reference window, thumbnails, scratch paper and the tablet still show the original pages.

• Scrolling the mouse wheel over an expanded text note bubble crashed the app immediately. It happened every time with shorter notes, where the bubble has nothing to scroll; longer notes that scroll inside the bubble were unaffected. Image note bubbles are fixed too.

这一版给「删掉了」和「弄丢了」加了两条退路。

新增：回收站

• 以前在侧栏右键「删除」一篇文档，没有任何确认框，那本书的笔迹、笔记、高亮、书签当场全没，也没法撤销。现在删之前会先问一句，删掉的东西连同它的全部笔记都进回收站。
• 「文件 ▸ 回收站…」可以看到删过什么、什么时候删的、占多大，选中「放回去」就全回来了。删笔迹图层同样进回收站。
• 如果那份 PDF 已经重新导入过，放回去会把这些笔记并进现在那一篇，面板上会写清楚要并多少条。
• 保留期可以在设置里选 30 天 / 90 天 / 一直保留。图片笔记引用的图片会跟着一起留住，不会先一步被清掉。
• PDF 文件本身从来不会被删掉，工作区里的其它东西也一样不动。

新增：工作区定时备份

• 资料库（全部笔迹、笔记、高亮、书签、草稿纸、阅读进度）会自动存快照，就放在工作区内部，工作区搬到哪它就跟到哪。PDF 不复制，所以不占多少地方。
• 打开工作区后、每隔几小时、退出前各存一次，频率可以在「设置 ▸ 通用 ▸ 备份」里调，也可以关掉。
• 保留最近 5 份、每天 1 份留一周、每周 1 份留一个月。
• 「文件 ▸ 工作区备份…」可以立即备份、删掉某一份，或者还原到某一份。还原之前会先把当前这份另存为还原点，所以还原本身也能退回来；还原完 App 会退出，重新打开工作区就能接着用。

修复

• 把右侧检查器拖到最宽时，阅读区的竖滚动条会被页面盖住，滚轮滚也不回来（时有时无）。拖分隔条和拖窗口的整个过程中滚动条不见、松手才回来的问题也一并修了。参考窗同样修正。

This release adds two safety nets: one for things you deleted, one for things you lost.

New: Recently Deleted

• Deleting a document from the sidebar used to happen instantly with no confirmation, taking all of its ink, notes, highlights and bookmarks with it and no way back. Now it asks first, and what you delete goes to Recently Deleted with all of its notes intact.
• File ▸ Recently Deleted… shows what was deleted, when, and how much space it takes. Select an entry and choose Put Back to get it all back. Deleted ink layers go there too.
• If the PDF has since been imported again, putting it back merges the notes into that document — the panel tells you how many are being merged and where.
• Keep deleted items for 30 days, 90 days or forever, set in Settings. Images used by image notes are held for as long as the deleted item is, so they are never cleaned up ahead of it.
• The PDF files themselves are never deleted, and nothing else in the workspace is touched.

New: Workspace Backups

• The library (every stroke, note, highlight, bookmark, scratch pad and reading position) is snapshotted automatically. Backups live inside the workspace, so they travel with it. PDFs are not copied, so they stay small.
• A backup is taken shortly after opening a workspace, every few hours, and on quit. The frequency is adjustable under Settings ▸ General ▸ Backups, and it can be turned off.
• Kept: the 5 most recent, one a day for a week, one a week for a month.
• File ▸ Workspace Backups… lets you back up now, delete a backup, or restore one. Restoring saves the current library as a restore point first, so the restore itself can be undone; UniReader quits afterwards, and reopening the workspace picks up where it left off.

Fixes

• With the inspector dragged to its widest, the reading area's vertical scroll bar could be covered by the page and would not come back (it did not happen every time). The scroll bar also disappeared for the duration of dragging the divider or resizing the window, returning only on release. Both are fixed, in the reference window too.

本版汇总 0.1.43 以来的改动，是一次比较大的更新：整套界面重做了一遍，新增 Agent 面板与 Markdown 笔记两大块。

新增：Agent 面板

• 右侧检查器多了一页「Agent」，可以直接和本机的 Agent 对话（目前接 Kimi）。它能看到你正在读哪一篇、第几页，帮你找页面、加文字笔记 / 高亮 / 书签、跳到某一页，也能读写你正在看的 Markdown 笔记。
• ⌥ 拖出来的截图可以直接发给 Agent；也可以点附件按钮或把图片文件拖进输入框，跟着下一句话一起发出去。
• 回复和思考过程按 Markdown 显示（标题、列表、代码块、表格、公式都排出来了），文字可以选中复制。
• 输入框下面一行选「每次询问 / 只做计划 / 自动批准」和模型；右上角的「跟随 Agent」决定它跳转时阅读区要不要跟着走。以前的对话可以在面板里翻出来继续。
• 使用前请自己在终端装好并登录 Agent（Kimi 是 kimi login），然后在「设置 › Agent」里打开。

新增：工作区里的 Markdown 笔记

• 笔记可以放进工作区了，用的就是 Obsidian 那套格式。三种入口：「新建 Markdown 笔记」、「导入笔记目录…」（整个目录复制进工作区）、「引用笔记目录…」（不复制，就地编辑你原来的目录）。
• 侧栏按真实的目录层级展开；笔记在标签页里打开编辑，停手就自动保存，退出 App 也不会丢。
• [[笔记名]] 点一下就跳过去，![[图片]] 和 $公式$ 都能显示。⌘F 现在也能搜当前笔记的正文。
• 关掉 App 再打开，PDF 和笔记混在一起的那排标签会按原来的顺序回来。
• 笔记正文永远以你的文件为准：导入、改名、挪目录都不会替你改动正文里的 [[…]]。
• 长笔记打字更跟手了——以前几万字的笔记每敲一个字都要重排整篇，现在不随长度变慢。

新增：跳转到指定页（⌃G）

• 「视图」菜单多了「跳转到指定页…」，默认 ⌃G。输入框预填当前页码，直接打数字、回车就跳。
• 跳过去之后 ⌘[ 可以回到原来的位置（和点目录一样会记进跳转历史）。

界面整体重做

• 界面底层整个换了一遍，滚动、缩放、开合侧栏与检查器都更稳，闪烁和跳位少了很多。
• 侧栏和检查器会记住上次是开是关；检查器可以拉得更宽（放得下 Agent 对话）。
• 检查器现在是真正的分栏，不再盖在正文上；开合时阅读区会跟着让位。
• 阅读区顶部让开工具栏，竖滚动条顶端正好抵住工具栏下沿。

修复

• 阅读进度有时会跑到别的页：窗口宽度变化（开合侧栏 / 检查器、拖窗口）时，进度会被错误地记成另一页，切走再回来就落在那儿。已修。
• 缩小到比适宽还小时页面不居中、贴在最左边。
• 拖检查器分隔条时卡顿；拖宽之后竖滚动条整个消失。
• 笔记浮层会盖住工具栏。
• 带别名或锚点的 [[笔记|别名]]、[[笔记#小节]] 显示成灰色、点不动。
• 检查器里笔记很多时切页会顿一下。

This release covers changes since 0.1.43. It is a big one: the entire interface was rebuilt, and two major features were added — the Agent panel and Markdown notes.

New: Agent Panel

• The inspector on the right has a new "Agent" page where you can talk to an agent running on your Mac (currently Kimi). It can see which document and page you are on, find pages for you, add text notes / highlights / bookmarks, jump to a page, and read and edit the Markdown note you are looking at.
• Screenshots taken with an ⌥-drag can be sent straight to the agent. You can also use the attachment button or drag image files into the input box; they go out with your next message.
• Replies and thinking are rendered as Markdown (headings, lists, code blocks, tables and formulas all laid out), and the text can be selected and copied.
• The row below the input box picks how it asks before running tools (ask every time / plan only / auto-approve) and which model to use. "Follow Agent" at the top decides whether the reader follows along when the agent jumps somewhere. Earlier chats can be reopened from the panel.
• Install and sign in to the agent in Terminal first (kimi login for Kimi), then turn it on under Settings › Agent.

New: Markdown Notes in the Workspace

• Notes can now live in a workspace, in plain Obsidian-flavored Markdown. Three ways in: "New Markdown Note", "Import Notes Folder…" (copies a whole folder into the workspace) and "Reference Notes Folder…" (no copy — edits your existing folder in place).
• The sidebar shows the real folder hierarchy. Notes open in a tab for editing and save themselves when you pause typing, so nothing is lost on quit.
• [[Note name]] links are clickable, and ![[image]] embeds and $formula$ math render. ⌘F now searches the text of the note you are editing too.
• Quit and reopen, and your row of tabs comes back in order — PDFs and notes mixed together.
• Your files stay the source of truth: importing, renaming and moving notes never rewrites the [[…]] links inside your text.
• Typing in long notes is much smoother — a 50,000-word note used to re-lay out in full on every keystroke; it no longer slows down with length.

New: Go to Page (⌃G)

• The View menu has a new "Go to Page…", ⌃G by default. The field is pre-filled with the current page; type a number and press Return.
• ⌘[ takes you back to where you were, since the jump is recorded in the jump history just like clicking a table-of-contents entry.

Interface Rebuilt

• The interface was rebuilt from the ground up: scrolling, zooming and opening or closing the sidebar and inspector are steadier, with far less flicker and position jumping.
• The sidebar and inspector remember whether they were open, and the inspector can be made wider (room for the Agent chat).
• The inspector is now a real split instead of an overlay on top of the page, and the reading area makes room for it as it opens and closes.
• The reading area clears the toolbar, and the vertical scroll bar now starts right below it.

• Reading position sometimes jumped to a different page: when the window width changed (opening or closing the sidebar or inspector, resizing the window), the position was recorded as the wrong page, so switching away and back landed you there. Fixed.
• Pages were pinned to the left instead of centered when zoomed out below fit-width.
• Dragging the inspector divider stuttered, and the vertical scroll bar disappeared after widening it.
• Note overlays could cover the toolbar.
• [[Note|alias]] and [[Note#section]] links showed as gray and did not respond to clicks.
• Switching inspector pages stuttered when a document had many notes.

框选文字改用 ⌘+拖触发，支持叠加与取消

• 拖选文字默认是流式选择（起点拖到终点，按阅读顺序选中之间内容，老版本的行为）；起手时按住 ⌘ 才切换成框选（拖出一个矩形，框到哪些字就选哪些字）。设置 › 阅读里原来那个「拖选文字方式」开关已经拿掉，改成按键触发。
• ⌘+拖框选永远是叠加在已有选区上，不会换成一份全新的选区——不管这份已有选区是刚才流式选择出来的，还是之前框选出来的。
• 新增设置 › 阅读 ›「框选重复区域」：再框到已经选中的部分时，选「合并」（默认）会保留原有选区、只新增没框到的部分；选「反选」则让重叠的部分互相取消，跟 Finder 图标视图里 ⌘+拖橡皮筋的效果一样。

Box Select Now Triggered by ⌘-drag, With Add and Remove

• Drag-selecting text now defaults to flow select (drag from a start point to an end point, selecting everything in between in reading order — the old behavior). Hold ⌘ when you start the drag to switch to box select instead (drag out a rectangle and it selects whatever text the rectangle touches). The "Drag-select style" setting under Settings › Reading has been removed in favor of this key-triggered switch.
• ⌘-drag box selection always adds to whatever is already selected, never replaces it — whether that existing selection came from a flow select or an earlier box select.
• New setting, Settings › Reading › "Overlapping box selection": when a new box overlaps text you already selected, "Merge" (the default) keeps the existing selection and only adds the new part, while "Invert" deselects the overlapping part instead — same as ⌘-dragging a fresh rubber band in Finder's icon view.
