What's new

WKWebView support — Playwright-style DOM access for web views

14 new MCP tools that give agents full visibility and control inside any WKWebView embedded in the app. No integration code needed — AppReveal auto-discovers web views and injects JavaScript to read and interact with the DOM.

Discovery:

  • get_webviews — list all web views with URL, title, loading state
  • get_dom_tree — full or partial DOM tree as JSON
  • get_dom_interactive — all inputs, buttons, links, selects with selectors and attributes
  • query_dom — CSS selector queries
  • find_dom_text — find elements by text content

Interaction:

  • web_click — click by CSS selector
  • web_type — type into inputs/textareas (React/Vue/Angular compatible)
  • web_select — select dropdown options
  • web_toggle — check/uncheck checkboxes and radios
  • web_scroll_to — scroll to element

Navigation & advanced:

  • web_navigate — load a URL
  • web_back / web_forward — browser history
  • web_evaluate — run arbitrary JavaScript

Other improvements

  • Auto-derived screen identity — no ScreenIdentifiable protocol needed. Screen key and title derived from class name automatically.
  • get_view_tree tool — full native view hierarchy dump with all properties
  • 35 total MCP tools (21 native + 14 web)
