The Method

Koòrdinated Thinking: a proposed method for working on a complex problem with a language model without the reasoning dissolving into the flow of the conversation. This document sets out its principles, its limits, and the rationale that supports it.

Italian, the language it was written in entry point

The English text is a translation of an Italian original: the method was created, refined and tested in Italian, and is published in English. A difference in substance between the two is a translation defect to report, not a variant to interpret — see Italian and English.

The styled renderings are single self-contained files: they carry their typefaces inside, make no network request, and can be saved or printed without losing their design.

Reading order

The chapters build on one another and the argument is cumulative, so the order is the one to follow on a first reading. Two later chapters are the ones people come back to: 08 · Two ways to break the single perspective, which is where the method departs from the practices it borrows from, and 10 · Where the method costs and where it falls short, which states what it does not claim.
