First release of ShaferWare DNS Monitor: live Technitium DNS stats on a VoCore 800x480 screen.

  • Live stats: queries, blocked %, cache hit %, NXDOMAIN, SERVFAIL and clients, every 10 seconds
  • Queries-per-minute chart (or per hour for the last 24 hours) and top clients, domains and blocked domains
  • Alerts for retry storms, SERVFAIL, query spikes, rate-limited clients, slow DNS answers and an unreachable API
  • Read-only API token, encrypted with Windows DPAPI; no admin rights needed

Before you start: set up a read-only vocore user and API token in Technitium. Follow the Technitium setup steps.

Requires Windows 10/11 64-bit, a VoCore 800x480 USB screen with its WinUSB/libusb driver, and Technitium DNS Server (tested with v15). Close SysDash and SimHub first, because only one program can drive the screen.
