Code the dream Pre-work

Description

This project is a website that allows users to explore artworks, artists, and exhibitions using the Art Institute of Chicago's API.

Execution Instructions

Prerequisites

  • Visual Studio Code (VS Code)
  • Live Server Extension for VS Code

Steps to Run the Project

  1. Install Visual Studio Code from https://code.visualstudio.com/.
  2. Open Visual Studio Code and navigate to the Extensions bar.
  3. Search for "Live Server" in the Extensions search bar.
  4. Click "Install" to install the "Live Server" extension.
  5. Once the extension is installed, open the project's root folder in Visual Studio Code.
  6. Right-click on the main HTML file (index.html) and select "Open with Live Server" from the context menu.
  7. Alternatively, you can click the "Go Live" button located in the bottom-right corner of Visual Studio Code.
  8. The project will open in your default web browser and will be ready for use.

Additional Notes

  • Ensure that you are accessing the root URL provided by Live Server in your web browser.
  • Make sure you have an active internet connection so that the application can load and display data from the Art Institute of Chicago's API.
