Leaf v0.7.0 - 5-Game Mode, Screenshots, and Emulator Upgrades
Leaf v0.7.0 - 5-Game Mode, Screenshots, and Emulator Upgrades
Leaf v0.7.0 adds a lockable five-game focus mode, on-device screenshots, major
PSP and Dreamcast upgrades, safer dual-SD libraries, improved ROM uploads, and
PortMaster 0.2.0.
5-Game Mode
- Open Menu → Actions → Start 5-Game Mode to pick and arrange up to five
games, choose Theme colors or Black & White, and optionally protect the mode
with a four-digit PIN. - The focused screen shows only those games, battery status, and relevant
Bluetooth status. It stays active across reboots, and quitting a game returns
directly to the focused screen. - Wi-Fi is switched off while the mode is active and restored to its previous
state when you exit. A forgotten PIN can be bypassed with the documented
failsafe button hold or by deleting.leaf-focus-lockfrom the SD card.
Screenshots
- Turn on Settings → General → Screenshots, then press Menu + L1 to
capture the launcher, a menu, 5-Game Mode, or a running RetroArch game. - Screenshots are saved as PNG files in the top-level
Screenshotsfolder and
work entirely on-device without Wi-Fi. The setting is off by default.
PSP and Dreamcast
- Updated standalone PPSSPP to v1.20.4. Vulkan is now the default MLP1
graphics path, with native output and rotation for the portrait-mounted
screen; a dedicated GLES fallback remains available. - Fixed the shipped PPSSPP Square, Triangle, and analog-Up mappings. Existing
default configurations are corrected without overwriting custom remaps, and
PSP games now use the calibrated controller from Joe's Calibrage. - Added standalone Flycast v2.6 as the Dreamcast default for better
performance. RetroArch Flycast remains available as an alternate, while the
standalone build keeps VMU data and user configuration across updates and
opens its correctly oriented native menu with the Menu button.
Safer dual-SD libraries
- Games now use stable card and source-relative identities, preserving
favorites, recents, playtime, artwork, and per-game settings when physical
mountpoints swap or content moves between Primary and Secondary. - Removing Secondary makes its games temporarily unavailable instead of
deleting their library state. Reinserting the card restores the same entries,
while configured but unmounted sources are skipped safely.
PortMaster 0.2.0
- Pak Rat now offers the optional PortMaster 0.2.0 package to Leaf 0.7.0
devices; older Leaf versions remain on the safe 0.1.2 package. - PortMaster can inventory both cards, choose a default card for new installs,
generate improved per-launcher artwork, and move complete packages between
cards with checksum verification and restart recovery. - PortMaster remains an unofficial Pak Rat app and is not bundled with the base
Leaf download.
Central Scrutinizer
- ROM uploads are checked against the platform catalog before large files are
transferred. Folder and archive bundles are validated together, with clearer
format guidance and rejection messages in the browser. - Configured but absent SD-card sources are skipped instead of traversing the
stock firmware's empty mountpoint.
Everything from Leaf v0.6.1—including its Central Scrutinizer fixes—and all
earlier releases is included.
