Privacy
Annotation sharing is now off by default and requires explicit consent.
If enabled, sharing sends a pseudonymous installation ID, publication metadata, raw highlight text and comments, hashes, colours, and dates. Because free text may contain identifying information, this data is not described as anonymous.
Collector submissions now use server-issued installation credentials, bounded request sizes, rate limiting, and idempotent updates.
