Live reconfigure for embedding packages
A prepare hook decides the effective configuration at startup. What it decides from can change while the connection is up — a user's permissions, or settings an administrator keeps in Business Central. Until now that only reached the client on the next start.
PrepareContext is the way back in. A hook that defines attach(context) receives one before it runs, and await context.reconfigure(new_config) moves the running connection onto the new allowed_companies, environments and environment_note. bc_list_companies reports them from the next call on, and a company that has become allowed can be routed to at once.
Deliberately narrow:
- Only those three fields. The upstream sessions, the per-company sessions and the tools cache are left exactly as they are — a changed allow-list says nothing about the connections already open, and Business Central enforces every call regardless.
- Another environment is refused with a warning: its URL and headers were built for the one that runs, so moving it needs the connection rebuilt.
- A reconfigure arriving before the runtime exists is held and applied as soon as it does, because a hook may start a background check inside itself.
Nothing changes unless you ask for it
allow_live_reconfigure is off by default, and a plain callable hook has no attach. A stand-alone installation is unaffected.
Upgrading
No action needed. Embedding packages that want the behaviour set allow_live_reconfigure on the configuration their hook returns and define attach.
