Voice Recognition (YAMNet) Backend

This project includes a Python FastAPI backend that uses Google's YAMNet model to analyze audio for safety-related events (screaming, shouting, alarms, etc.).

Quick start (local)

python start_voice_api.py
# API docs: http://localhost:8000/docs

Frontend will connect to the backend using VITE_API_URL (defaults to http://localhost:8000).

Create .env in project root:

VITE_API_URL=http://localhost:8000
VITE_SUPABASE_URL=your_supabase_url
VITE_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY=your_supabase_anon_key

Backend environment

ALLOWED_ORIGINS=https://your-frontend-domain.com,http://localhost:5173

Deploying the backend

Use the provided Dockerfile and render.yaml to deploy on Render or any container platform. Set ALLOWED_ORIGINS to your deployed frontend URL.
