# Release Notes – v1.1.2 🚀
This version introduces a major architectural shift in how labels are handled, moving from a static list to a Dynamic Discovery Engine.
🌟 Key Features
Dynamic Label Discovery
We’ve implemented a multi-stage label discovery system that ensures you always have the most relevant labels at your fingertips:
-
Broad Discovery
When you search, the app proactively samples top repositories matching your query to extract their common labels. -
Narrow Discovery
Labels are extracted in real time from the specific issues returned in your search results. -
Persistence
Discovered labels are saved to local storage, building a personalized “knowledge base” of labels over time. -
Merge Logic
The UI intelligently merges persisted, sampled, and static baseline labels, deduplicating them while preserving label colors.
🎨 UI & UX Enhancements
-
Multi-Select Colors
The label selection dropdown now displays official GitHub label colors for improved visual recognition. -
Hero Section
Refined the landing page with animated gradient orbs and updated metadata counts. -
Navbar & Sidebar
Polished layouts for a more premium Beta experience.
🛠 Technical Changes
New Hooks
-
useRepositoryLabels
Handles sampling and fetching labels from multiple repositories in parallel with concurrency limiting. -
useDynamicLabels
Acts as the core of the label system, coordinating between memory, storage, and the API.
Storage
- Updated
StorageContextto support persistent label discovery.
Type Safety
- Enhanced
GitHubUserandGitHubLabelinterfaces for improved data consistency.
🧪 Verification Results
- Verified that searching for specific terms (e.g., "react") triggers Broad Discovery and updates the label list with domain-specific labels (e.g.,
component: hooks). - Confirmed that label colors are correctly mapped from API results to UI badges.
- Validated that discovered labels persist across page reloads.
