Screen Share Not Doing Anything

Hi,
I'm new to using linux kde wayland and seem to be having some trouble getting vesktop screen share working. When I press the button to screen share this menu pops up.

Once selecting what I wanna share nothing happens. I cant bring it up again(unless i close and reopen vesktop) and it wont start screen sharing. I'm told I might be missing something but we cant seem to figure out what it is.

Same issue, but I can reopen the sharing window after a few seconds (and it looks different).
KDE 6.0.4, Wayland 1.22.0, Vesktop 1.5.1

The portal is seemingly missing the preview of the desktop, perhaps you are missing xdg-desktop-portal-kde?

If you want to screenshare I suggest building from source as it has massive overhauls to the way Vesktop handles screensharing. If you are unable to do this hold off for the next update (in a few days).

hi ,i have the same issue i get to pick an screen or window then nothing happens. It worked in the past.

Im using latest git pull from this morning and the issue is still there.

issue with your system. we can't help you. make sure you have the necessary portal and pipewire capturer working

systemctl restart --user xdg-desktop-portal

if that doesnt work do an reboot.

seems after an while the dialog just doesnt want to show up anymore and i think its related to wayland/kde xdg portal/

I also am unable to share my screen on KDE 6 with Wayland. What do I do to properly set it up? Using the flatpak
The dialog to share my screen appears and a red circle in the system tray which allows me to "end" the screensharing session.
Also what does "make sure you have the necessary portal and pipewire capturer working" mean? I was told vesktop would work out of the box
