• Templates with several text styles now work. Templates made in Premiere whose text mixes styles used to stop with "several style runs are not supported". The first time a layout appears, CapSwap asks once whether its styled text is a speaker label (Name | , Janeㅣ) and remembers the answer for every template shaped the same way. Label layouts keep the label and put each caption in the body style; others put the whole caption in the body style. Premiere's older built-in templates are covered too.
• Label templates swap into each other. A caption made with a speaker-label template swaps to another with the body kept and the label converted (John | body → Janeㅣbody), or to a plain template with the body only, without asking.
• Steadier template browser. The browser keeps its size when a search finds nothing, so the buttons no longer jump, and cards no longer shift when a scrollbar appears. Scrollbars are thin and match the panel.
• Reset saved choices. The new ⚙ button next to the language menu resets what CapSwap remembered per template (it asks again next time) or all settings. The previous settings are kept as settings.backup.json.

• 서식이 섞인 템플릿 지원. 본문 서식이 여러 구간으로 나뉜 Premiere 제작 템플릿은 그동안 "여러 스타일 구간 미지원"으로 멈췄습니다. 이제 어떤 형태를 처음 만나면 서식 문구가 이름표(영희ㅣ, 철수 | )인지 한 번 묻고, 같은 형태의 모든 템플릿에 기억합니다. 이름표형이면 이름표를 유지하고 자막을 본문 서식으로, 아니면 자막 전체를 본문 서식으로 넣습니다. Premiere의 예전 기본 템플릿 형식도 지원합니다.
• 이름표 템플릿끼리 교체. 이름표형 템플릿으로 만든 자막은 다른 이름표 템플릿으로 교체하면 본문은 그대로 두고 이름표만 바뀌고(철수 | 본문 → 영희ㅣ본문), 이름표 없는 템플릿으로 교체하면 본문만 들어갑니다. 따로 묻지 않습니다.
• 템플릿 브라우저 크기 고정. 검색 결과가 없어도 창이 줄어들지 않아 버튼 위치가 움직이지 않고, 스크롤바가 생길 때 카드가 밀리지 않습니다. 스크롤바는 패널 색에 맞춘 얇은 모양입니다.
• 저장된 선택 초기화. 언어 메뉴 옆의 새 ⚙ 버튼으로 템플릿별로 기억한 선택(다음에 다시 물음) 또는 모든 설정을 초기화합니다. 이전 설정은 settings.backup.json으로 남깁니다.

0.7.4 — First public alpha (2026-10-08)

Keep the words and timing, swap the caption design. CapSwap is a Windows panel for Premiere Pro that turns captions and graphic captions into the Motion Graphics template (MOGRT) of your choice. This is the first public alpha.

Features

• Generate graphic captions from captions in one batch: reads the text and start and end times straight from the sequence's caption track and places them with the MOGRT you choose. No SRT export or time offset needed. If there are several caption tracks (for example one per language) you pick one, and you can also generate from an SRT file.
• Swap the template of selected captions: changes the graphic captions you select on the timeline to another MOGRT, keeping the current text, start and end time, video track and disabled state.
• Swap with the last template now: applies the last successful swap template again with one click.
• Template browser: browse local MOGRT folders with thumbnails, with search, folder registration, favorites and recent choices.
• English and Korean UI: follows Premiere's language automatically (unsupported languages use English), and you can switch it in the panel. The installer speaks the Windows display language.

Safety

• Existing captions are removed only after the new captions' text and length are verified. If preparation fails or you cancel, your originals are unchanged.
• Before generating, and before swapping 6 or more captions, the sequence is backed up to the project's CapSwap Backup bin (the 3 most recent are kept). Swaps of 5 or fewer skip the backup for speed.
• Temporary files and derived template assets that are no longer used are cleaned up automatically when a job ends.
• Your project file and original MOGRTs are never modified directly. CapSwap makes no internet connections and sends nothing anywhere; the Ko-fi link in the panel only opens your browser when you click it.

Requirements

• Windows, Adobe Premiere Pro 26.5 or later. Verified on Premiere 26.5.2.
• On Premiere versions not yet verified, the panel shows a warning and asks once before the first job on that version.
• macOS is not supported.

Install

1. Extract CapSwap-0.7.4-windows.zip and close Premiere Pro.
2. Double-click Install-CapSwap.cmd. No administrator rights are needed.
3. In Premiere Pro, open Window → Extensions → CapSwap.

The package is signed; the installer checks its SHA-256 and signature file before installing. To remove CapSwap, run Install-CapSwap.cmd uninstall.

Known limitations

• Effects, position keyframes, highlight colors and several style runs of existing captions are not carried over to the new template. Check layout and motion length when the number of characters changes.
• Caption fonts, colors and positions are not imported; the design comes from the template you choose.
• MOGRTs made in After Effects, and 23.976 fps and 29.97 fps drop-frame sequences, are not fully verified yet.
• Templates with audio, captions with changed speed and captions with linked clips are not supported.
• There is no single-step undo for a whole job. Use the backup sequence or Premiere's undo.
• Reading caption text relies on Premiere's internal file format. Check the results after Premiere updates.
• Premiere does not support panel shortcuts, so every feature runs from the panel buttons.

문구와 타이밍은 그대로, 자막 디자인만 교체. CapSwap은 Premiere Pro의 캡션과 그래픽 자막을 원하는 모션 그래픽 템플릿(MOGRT)으로 바꿔 주는 Windows용 패널입니다. 처음 공개하는 알파 버전입니다.

주요 기능

• 캡션을 그래픽 자막으로 일괄 생성: 시퀀스의 캡션 트랙에서 문구와 시작·끝 시각을 그대로 읽어 지정한 MOGRT로 배치합니다. SRT 내보내기나 시간 보정이 필요 없습니다. 캡션 트랙이 여러 개(예: 언어별)이면 사용할 트랙을 고를 수 있고, SRT 파일에서 만드는 방식도 선택할 수 있습니다.
• 선택한 자막의 템플릿 교체: 타임라인에서 고른 그래픽 자막을 다른 MOGRT로 바꿉니다. 현재 문구, 시작·종료 시간, 비디오 트랙, 비활성화 상태를 유지합니다.
• 마지막 템플릿으로 즉시 교체: 마지막으로 성공한 교체 템플릿을 버튼 한 번으로 다시 적용합니다.
• 템플릿 브라우저: 로컬 MOGRT 폴더를 썸네일로 탐색합니다. 검색, 폴더 등록, 즐겨찾기, 최근 선택을 지원합니다.
• 영어·한국어 화면: Premiere의 언어를 자동으로 따르고(지원하지 않는 언어는 영어), 패널에서 직접 바꿀 수도 있습니다. 설치 배치는 Windows 언어에 맞춰 안내합니다.

안전장치

• 새 자막의 문구와 길이를 검증한 뒤에만 기존 자막을 지웁니다. 준비 중 실패하거나 취소하면 원본은 바뀌지 않습니다.
• 일괄 생성과 6개 이상 교체 전에는 시퀀스 백업을 프로젝트의 CapSwap 백업 폴더(영어 화면에서는 CapSwap Backup)에 만듭니다(최근 3개 보관). 5개 이하 교체는 속도를 위해 백업을 생략합니다.
• 작업에 쓴 임시 파일과 더 이상 쓰지 않는 파생 템플릿 에셋은 작업이 끝나면 자동으로 정리합니다.
• 사용자 프로젝트 파일과 원본 MOGRT는 직접 수정하지 않습니다. 인터넷 연결이나 외부 전송도 없습니다. 패널의 Ko-fi 링크는 누를 때 브라우저만 엽니다.

지원 환경

• Windows, Adobe Premiere Pro 26.5 이상. Premiere 26.5.2에서 검증했습니다.
• 검증하지 않은 Premiere 버전에서는 패널에 경고를 표시하고, 그 버전에서 처음 작업할 때 한 번 확인을 받습니다.
• macOS는 지원하지 않습니다.

설치

1. CapSwap-0.7.4-windows.zip의 압축을 풀고 Premiere를 종료합니다.
2. Install-CapSwap.cmd를 더블클릭합니다. 관리자 권한은 필요 없습니다.
3. Premiere에서 창 → 확장 → CapSwap을 엽니다.

설치 파일은 서명돼 있으며, 설치 배치가 SHA-256과 서명 파일을 확인한 뒤 설치합니다. 제거는 Install-CapSwap.cmd uninstall입니다.

알려진 제한

• 기존 자막의 효과, 위치 키프레임, 강조 색상, 여러 스타일 구간은 새 템플릿으로 옮기지 않습니다. 글자 수가 달라지면 레이아웃과 모션 길이를 확인하세요.
• 캡션의 글꼴·색상·위치는 가져오지 않으며, 디자인은 선택한 템플릿을 따릅니다.
• After Effects로 만든 MOGRT, 23.976fps·29.97fps 드롭프레임 시퀀스는 아직 충분히 검증하지 않았습니다.
• 오디오가 포함된 템플릿, 속도를 바꾼 자막, 연결 클립이 있는 자막은 지원하지 않습니다.
• 작업 전체를 한 번의 실행 취소로 되돌리는 기능은 없습니다. 백업 시퀀스나 Premiere의 실행 취소를 사용하세요.
• 캡션 문구 읽기는 Premiere 내부 저장 형식을 사용합니다. Premiere 업데이트 후에는 결과를 꼭 확인하세요.
• Premiere가 패널 단축키를 지원하지 않아 모든 기능은 패널 버튼으로 실행합니다.
