No 1.10.1 was released: no defect was outstanding after 1.10.0.

  • Add linear and radial gradients for backgrounds, text, shape fills, strokes, and presets.
  • Add canvas background images with fill, contain, and cover modes.
  • Add paint and image controls across CLI, HTTP, MCP, and the reference interface.
  • Move reference controls, dialogs, the layer tree, uploads, and login to React and Mantine.
  • Add local Light, Dark, and System preferences. System is the default.
  • Preserve history branches and recover missing snapshot association indexes.
  • Encode unusual SVG IDs and validate project paints before file creation.
  • Start authoritative previews before inspector reconstruction.

The document schema stays at schemaVersion 1. Existing operation names and solid colour strings stay unchanged.
All browser assets and runtime licence notices ship with the executable.

Builds 1.0 to 1.10 refuse gradient documents and can refuse gradient journals.
Release 1.10.0 preserves canvas image metadata during normal loading. Its renderer ignores the image.
Its journal recovery can discard newer image metadata. Use 1.11.0 for editing and recovery.

The complete candidate passes native checks on Windows, Linux, and macOS, on x86_64 and aarch64.
All six targets produce identical SVG bytes and identical RGBA and PNG bytes at scales 1 and 2.
The UI suite passes 96 tests with zero skips.
The release executable passes Windows browser checks for authentication, uploads, gradients, background images, history, and preview exports.
English, French, and German layouts pass desktop, mobile, and high-resolution viewport checks.
These browser checks make zero external asset requests.
All six downloaded archives pass checksum and native CLI, HTTP, MCP, canvas, paint, and font checks.
The Windows bare executables match the executables in the ZIP archives.
The Debian executables match the executables in the Linux archives.
Both Debian packages install on their native CPU architectures.
See the native artifact verification for all six targets.

The repeated 1.10.0 median is 262.2 ms. The prior interface median is 147.2 ms. The candidate median is 165.2 ms.
The candidate median decreases by 37.0% against 1.10.0 on this fixture.
It remains 12.2% higher than the unreleased prior interface at 550609f.
Each embedded build uses the same Windows host, Chrome version, fixture, and viewport.
Each run has three warmup edits and 20 measured edits.
The measurement ends after the authoritative PNG loads and two animation frames complete.
This result covers one Windows host and one 30-shape keyboard-edit fixture.

Download the archive for your platform. Verify it with SHA256SUMS.
Windows also has standalone executables. Linux also has Debian packages.
See CHANGELOG.md for all changes.
