Releases: Viper-9/QuestCodex

v1.10.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Viper-9 Viper-9 released this 20 Oct 08:48

QuestCodex 1.10.0

Features

  • Quest items on the raid prep page: Quest items that always spawn in the same place (like a quest document or a flash drive) now show up as raid objectives on the map where they spawn
    • Once you've picked the item up, the objective goes away. If the quest still needs it handed over, it moves to the hand-in list
    • Finding ordinary loot still shows only in the items to find, not in the quest list

Fixes and tweaks

  • Hidden objectives stay hidden: Objectives the game hasn't shown you yet are no longer listed on the raid prep page or in the Briefing tab
    • For example, in "Ideal For Someone With Taste - Part 1" the plant and exit steps on Factory no longer appear before the kill is done
    • The wiki and progress pages still list every objective

v1.9.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Viper-9 Viper-9 released this 16 Oct 13:49

QuestCodex 1.9.0

Features

  • Faster first load after a server restart: QuestCodex now builds the quest catalog in the background as soon as the server finishes starting, so the first time you open the wiki or the Briefing tab it is already ready.
    • It prepares the languages you used last time (up to two). On a fresh install nothing runs until you open QuestCodex once.
    • The build runs at low priority, so it won't slow down the game.
  • Weapon builds in the Briefing tab: For kill/shot tasks that need specific mods (e.g. "with a suppressor"), the required weapons, calibers and mods now show up together as one build row. This lets the Briefing mod check that the mods are on the right gun.

Fixes and tweaks

  • More reliable catalog loading: If loading one piece of map, loot or handbook data fails, it no longer stays broken until the next rebuild. QuestCodex tries it again on the next request.

v1.8.1

Choose a tag to compare

@Viper-9 Viper-9 released this 14 Oct 17:15

QuestCodex 1.8.1

Fixes and tweaks

  • Briefing no longer fails with "Couldn't load the briefing": If your game language isn't one the server has (for example kr-en, added by the Korean patch mod "Korean Patch Fix"), QuestCodex now picks the closest language instead of returning an error. Retry used to fail every time; now the briefing simply loads.

    • kr-en → Korean, es-xx → Spanish, and anything else falls back to English.
    • Upper/lower case and extra spaces in the language code no longer matter.
    • The same fallback applies to the web wiki's data, so both always load.

v1.8.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Viper-9 Viper-9 released this 14 Oct 15:06

QuestCodex 1.8.0

Features

  • Briefing mod support: Added backend APIs to support the Briefing mod
    • Briefing is an in-game tab implementing the QuestCodex raid preparation view directly inside the character screen
    • Briefing is currently in beta, so it isn't on Forge yet. If you'd like to try it out, you can download it from the repository below
    • Detailed information and screenshots are available in the repository's README → https://github.com/Viper-9/Briefing

Upgrading

  • You can install 1.8.0 over 1.7.0. Restart the SPT server afterwards.
  • If the website doesn't load properly or the Briefing tab doesn't work, do a clean install: delete the QuestCodex folder in SPT/user/mods/ and extract the 1.8.0 zip again.

v.1.7.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Viper-9 Viper-9 released this 10 Oct 13:43

QuestCodex 1.7.0

Features

  • Follow-up counts: See how many quests each quest eventually leads to
    • Progress quest list shows "N follow-ups" on every row, counting only quests you haven't finished yet
    • New sort menu: Recommended, Most follow-ups left, Fewest follow-ups left
    • Expanded quests show each unlocked quest's own count (quests left on the progress page, all quests in the wiki)
  • Compact tags: A new button next to the sort menu turns mod name tags into colored dots
    • Dots match the source mod chips; vanilla quests overridden by a mod get a hollow dot
    • Hover a dot to see the mod name
    • The wiki and the progress list remember the setting separately

Fixes and tweaks

  • More mod colors: The mod color palette grows from 6 to 10 colors, so more mods get their own color
  • Ready to progress: The "Go see a trader" card on the overview is now "Ready to progress", and empty groups show "-"
  • Expanded quest buttons: Open in wiki and Quest flow now sit next to Locations, with the trader and source on the right
  • Overridden vanilla quests: The expanded quest now says "Vanilla quest overridden by a mod"
  • Bigger text: Larger text and more spacing on the Items and Unlock Paths pages

v1.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Viper-9 Viper-9 released this 07 Oct 13:35

QuestCodex 1.6.0

Features

  • Kappa tracker: New page under Progress that shows everything left before you get Kappa.
    • Reads the Collector requirements from your server, so it works with vanilla and with quest mods that change them (for example trader loyalty or level requirements)
    • A summary with a progress bar for each kind of requirement, plus a trader table and trader tabs to filter the list
    • Shows which Kappa quests you can do now (longest remaining chain first) and what each one unlocks. Locked quests are sorted by how close you are to unlocking them
    • Quest flow window: the Kappa quests that come before and after a quest
    • Tree view: each trader's Kappa quests as a tree. Drag to move around, click a quest to see its details and highlight the quests before and after it, and optionally collapse completed quests
    • Collector items table: which items are found in raid, handed in or still missing, with the containers they mostly spawn in, the chance per container, and which bots carry them. Includes a search box
  • Mod-overridden vanilla quests: Vanilla quests that a mod replaces are tagged with the mod's name on the quest list and progress pages, and you can filter for them.
  • Refresh data button: Rebuilds QuestCodex's quest and loot data without restarting the server.

Fixes and tweaks

  • Faster loading: Loot data is now cached on disk, so the first page load after a server restart is much faster (about 8.5s → 1s in our test). The cache is rebuilt by itself when SPT, QuestCodex, your mod list or loot multipliers change.

v1.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Viper-9 Viper-9 released this 03 Oct 08:48

QuestCodex 1.5.0

Features

  • Source mod filter: Filter the wiki quest list and the overview quest table by the mod that added each quest, so modded quests are easy to find or hide.
  • Extracts on the maps: A new Extracts toggle on the quest locations map and the raid prep map shows PMC, scav, shared and transit exits.
    • Hover an exit to see its name, side, requirement (e.g. "5,000 RUB", co-op, switch) and chance.
    • Exits on other floors are dimmed.
  • Icebreaker map: Added a deck-by-deck map of the Icebreaker, with quest zones, the breaker panel repairs and keyless doors (keypad codes, explosive and frozen hatch doors). This gets QuestCodex ready for SPT 5.
  • Expanded Interchange map: When the expanded Interchange is installed, the quest map and raid prep switch to its larger layout, zones and locked doors automatically. This also prepares for SPT 5.
  • Mod map tabs in raid prep: Raid prep shows a tab for every map the server has, including mod maps with no quest objectives.

Fixes and tweaks

  • Start conditions: Start conditions with no locale text now show the target item's name.
  • Map toolbar: The locked doors toggle now sits next to the Extracts toggle.

Choose a tag to compare

@Viper-9 Viper-9 released this 02 Oct 12:39

QuestCodex 1.4.0

Features

  • Unlock Paths page (Progress): See which quests you still need to finish to unlock trader offers and hideout crafts, item by item.
    • Items are sorted by how many quests are left, with filters for trader offers, crafts, already unlocked and unreachable, plus the category bar and search.
    • Expand an item to see the closest path, and switch between its sources (traders and crafts) from the list next to it.
    • Open the full path in a resizable window, laid out step by step and grouped by trader, with level requirements and branch notes.
    • Click a quest in the path window to focus on it and see only what leads to it and what comes after it.
    • Sources you can no longer reach are marked: failed quests, an exclusive branch you already took, the other faction's quests, or quests the server hides.

Fixes and tweaks

  • Item categories: Items you only get as unlock rewards (trader offers and crafts) now show up under the right category.
  • Badges: Numbers in the map list and raid prep badges are centered and line up with quest names.

Docs

  • Russian docs: The docs site is now available in Russian, with a language dropdown in the top bar.
