PD Cleaner v1.1
PD Cleaner v1.1 — maintenance update. Same cleaning engine, just smoother in real-world use (especially as a VST3 in DAWs and plugin hosts).
- Steadier real-time playback in plugin hosts — fixes a timing issue where, on some systems, the cleaning could fall out of sync and the controls would stop responding until you removed and re-added the plugin. It now recovers on its own.
- Even monitoring levels — Compare original / Hear removed / isolate-a-stage no longer jump in volume when you switch between them, so it's easier to judge what's being removed.
- Clearer "Hear removed" help.
No change to sound quality or your saved settings. Windows 64-bit, unsigned — on first run Windows may warn "unknown publisher"; click More info → Run anyway.
Downloads: Setup installs the app and the VST3 plugin · portable is the standalone app as a single .exe · VST3.zip is just the plugin. The original v1.0 stays available on the v1.0.0 release.
PD Cleaner v1.0
PD Cleaner v1.0 — free audio restoration for old, noisy recordings.
Clean clicks, crackle, hiss and hum from any aged recording. PD Cleaner's classical DSP is tuned for the public-domain era — pre-1926 acoustic 78s, cylinders and shellac — but is at home with any vintage or damaged audio. Runs as a standalone app and as a VST3 plugin.

Install notes
- Windows only, 64-bit. Nothing else to install — the app and plugin carry their own runtime and audio encoders.
- The download is unsigned, so Windows may show an "unknown publisher" notice on first run. Click More info → Run anyway.
- The VST3 installs to the shared
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\folder, which DAWs (Reason, and others) scan automatically.
