Files
vgrid sheet inspect --calcno longer answers from part of a file — on a Parquet file bigger than a sheet,--calctotalled the rows that fit and exited 0 with no warning, soSUMover a 70,000-row file silently covered 65,535 of them. It now refuses the file (exit 4), the wayvgrid convertandvgrid sheet importalready did. Otherinspectviews still show what fits and now say so on stderr, keeping JSON on stdout parseable. The 0.34.0 note claimedinspectrefused such files; onlyconvertandimportdid.- Text that looks like a number stays text in JSON —
vgrid convert -t jsonandvgrid sheet inspect'svalue_typedecided a cell's type by whether its displayed text parsed as a number, so a string such as007(an ID from Parquet) came out as the number7. Both now use the type the cell holds. CSV-to-JSON output is unchanged, because CSV import already stores numbers and booleans as such. - Dates export as ISO 8601 in CSV and TSV — date, time and date-time cells were written as spreadsheet serials (
46266.58), which nothing outside a spreadsheet can read. They are now2026-09-01,14:02:00and2026-09-01 14:02:00, with milliseconds only when non-zero. Currency, percent and other formats still export as plain numbers. Applies to the desktop app's CSV/TSV export and tovgrid convert.
