The Modern Minecraft & Performance Update

Cubiq Launcher v1.1.0 is here! This is our biggest release yet, bringing native graphics fixes, powerful customization tools, modern Minecraft 26.x support, and an overhauled touch gaming experience.

✨ Major New Features in v1.1.0

  1. 📱 Landscape Mode:

    • Full native landscape orientation support for the launcher UI (CubiqLandscapeLayout), offering a comfortable tablet and handheld console experience.

  2. 🔤 Custom Font Styles:

    • Added selectable typography and font styling throughout the launcher UI to customize your visual experience.

  3. ⚡ LTW & MobileGlues Graphics Engines:

    • Added native support for LTW (LWJGL Touch Wrapper) and MobileGlues renderers, providing modern OpenGL/Vulkan translation and optimal frame rates.

  4. 🦊 Ely.by Skins & Account Management:

    • Seamless Ely.by authentication support alongside Microsoft and Offline modes, with full account profile switching and automatic skin fetching.

  5. 🦸 Capes & Custom Capes in Skin Library:

    • Dedicated cape management in the skins section with support for viewing official capes and uploading custom cape textures.

  6. 📦 Direct "+Modpack" Creation in Installations:

🛠️ Engine, Graphics & Quality of Life Improvements

🎨 Modern Minecraft (26.x / 26.3) & LTW Gamma Fix

  • Fixed Washed-Out / Bright White Gamma Overlay:
    • Eliminated the double sRGB gamma lift on modern versions (like Minecraft 26.3) running with LTW on Android. Textures, skies, and menus now render with vivid, rich colors.
    • Proxied \eglCreateWindowSurface\ with null attributes for LTW (matching MojoSDL on Android) and bypassed forced sRGB framebuffers.
  • EGL Fallback Chain & RenderPearl Validation:
    • Completed EGL fallback chain and intercepted \glGetError\ for proper RenderPearl context validation.
    • Fixed graphics backend crashes on Minecraft 26.x.

🧠 Smart Per-Version Renderer Persistence

  • Intelligent Defaults: Automatically selects LTW for Minecraft 26.3 and newer, and Krypton Wrapper (NGGL4ES) for versions below 26.3.
  • Strict User Override Respect: If you manually choose a custom renderer for any version, Cubiq saves it directly to that profile and remembers it whenever you return to that version.

🕹️ Control & Mouse Enhancements

  • Auto-Magnet Gap Spacing: Tightened button gaps on Mojo and Zalith 1 layouts to an exact 2dp auto-magnet gap (\gapPx = 2.dp).
  • Dynamic Mouse Mode: Activating the on-screen mouse button in Mojo and Zalith 1 layouts automatically switches to Slide Mode (\MouseControlMode.SLIDE) for effortless cursor dragging.
  • Control Editor Polish: Added pressed states for all buttons, new control drawables, fixed button size slider, and refined swipe touch look sensitivity.

  • Full support for Java 25 and LWJGL 3.4.1.
  • On-Demand JRE Downloader: Dynamically downloads required Java runtimes, keeping the base APK size compact (~80-95MB).
  • Enhanced \TaskKeepAliveService\ to ensure rock-solid background game stability.
  • Account deletion confirmation dialog to avoid accidental loss.
