TL;DR — Fixes found on Omarchy: a one-word answer is no longer pushed to "continue", text and Enter typed together send, y/n answer safe questions at once, the header shows granted access, setup follows theme and size.

Fixed

  • A short answer stays the answer. Asked to "reply with the single word:
ready", the agent said "ready", was told to carry on with tool calls it
never meant to make, and its confused reply replaced the answer. Any reply
under 120 characters without a full stop was taken as unfinished. Now an
answer of one to three words, a number, a name, a path or a command is
left alone. A model that announces the work and stops is still told to go
on when its line ends in ":" or "…", or is a short announcement ending on
a plain word ("I'll create everything now"); one ending on a file name
("I'll fix App.ts") now reads as an answer.
  • Text and Enter that arrive together are sent. With tmux send-keys "text" Enter, a fast typist or a paste ending in a newline, the Enter
went into the input as an invisible character, nothing was sent, and the
input showed a stray letter after the text ("/skills bundlesm"). Each key
in such a burst now counts on its own, also in a reply typed while the
agent works, which used to lose the text. Several arrow keys or scroll steps
in one burst all count too, and a long paste that the terminal delivers in
pieces is kept whole; everything after the first piece used to be lost.
If it stalls part-way for up to a few seconds, over a slow link, its line
breaks still stay text instead of sending part of it.
  • Ctrl+C and Ctrl+D get you out of a stalled paste. While Codeep waited
for the rest of a paste that had stalled, they were taken as more of the
paste, so there was no way out. Pressed on their own, they now end the
    paste and work as usual.
  • Ctrl+C and Ctrl+D leave the first-run setup. On the "Welcome to
Codeep" list and the API key screen they did nothing; only Esc on the list
    got out.
  • /settings fields take pasted text. A pasted value, or one typed faster
than the terminal is read, was dropped, and an Enter that came with it
saved the old value. It now goes in whole (a number field keeps only its
digits and points), and that Enter saves it.
  • The Enter after a long one-line paste sends it. A paste of 100
characters or more opened the "Paste Detected" dialog, so the first Enter
only added it to the input. A single line now goes straight into the
input; a paste of several lines still asks first, and its line breaks stay
    text rather than sending it.
  • y and n answer at once where that is safe, as the "y/n quick" hint
says: "Set as Project?", "Apply Changes" and "Confirm Agent Task". Before,
they only moved the selection. Approving the agent's action ("Allow this
action?"), a "Potentially Dangerous Task", trusting a workspace's MCP
servers and a skill's confirm step still take Enter: there y and n only
select, and the hint says so. So do "Apply Changes" when a file decides
what runs later (a git hook, .git/config, an MCP or skill file) or lies
outside the project, and "Confirm Agent Task" when the task reads as
dangerous. A question takes no key until the keyboard has been quiet for
a moment, so an Enter right after "y", or a sentence you are still typing
when it appears, does not answer it.
  • /apply -i asks for Enter before changing a file that decides what runs
    later.
In the hunk picker, y or a accepted a hunk to a git hook,
.git/config, an MCP or skill file, or a file outside the project. Now y,
→ or Enter selects such a hunk and a second Enter accepts it, as the hint
and the file line say; "a" asks for that Enter too. Other hunks still take
    one key.
  • The welcome block shows the access you granted. After "Set as Project?
→ Yes" and "Folder Access → Read & Write" it still said "Chat only · no
project context". It now says "Waiting for folder access" while the
question is open, then shows the answer, and follows /grant.
  • The first-run setup redraws on a theme switch and a resize. The
"Welcome to Codeep" provider list and the API key screen kept the old
Omarchy theme's colours, and went blank after the terminal was resized,
    until a key was pressed.
  • The first-run setup fits a short terminal. At 30 rows the provider
list covered "Welcome to Codeep" and the key hints. It now scrolls with
the selection and shows how many providers are above and below; the API
key screen drops its blank rows before it covers its title.
  • Enter retries after "API key too short". On the second try Enter did
nothing and Esc ended setup. Now Enter takes the new key and Esc goes back
to the provider list, as on the first try. A key that could not be saved
    now says why.
