GlanceDock's first public Windows beta: desktop widgets on your wallpaper, with 72 widget types and up to three active widget instances free across all monitors.

Download and activate

Download GlanceDock_0.27.1_x64-setup.exe below. Requires Windows 10/11 x64 and WebView2 (the installer can install the runtime if needed).

Already have a complimentary key? Open Settings → About → License, paste the complete GDK1-… key, and click Activate. License verification is offline; a valid key unlocks unlimited widget instances. Removing a key pauses saved extras without deleting their layout or data.

Included in this beta

  • All 72 widget types, multi-monitor layouts, privacy mode, and portable layout backups that exclude credentials.
  • Completed Colour Picker library: save swatches, copy values, remove saved colours, and switch between the picker and library. Hidden controls no longer receive keyboard or desktop input; copy feedback and timer cleanup are fixed.
  • The enabled three-widget free tier and support for production version-1 license keys issued through the website.

Known beta limitations

  • On a fresh setup, choose Skip setup and add widgets individually. Starter templates currently append to the default clock and can exceed the free three-widget limit.
  • This beta has no Windows Authenticode publisher certificate, so SmartScreen may warn. The separate updater signature is verified, but it does not establish Windows publisher reputation.
  • The installed app shares its settings with a development build. Quit any running GlanceDock instance before installing. Use a separate Windows account for fresh-install testing rather than deleting an existing layout.

Verification and support

Local release checks passed: 1,154 Rust tests, 2,666 frontend tests, lint/type checks, and the Windows build. The updater signature was cryptographically verified against the public key embedded in the app.

The .sig, latest.json, and revoked.json assets support updates and offline licensing. SHA256SUMS.txt lists asset checksums. Application source is not included in this repository.
