Getting Started
Use Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.242 or newer, and Java 21. Put the Taskbound 1.0.0 JAR in the Minecraft instance's mods folder. A multiplayer server and all connecting clients need the mod.
Create: Numismatics is optional. When available and enabled, new currency rewards use spurs automatically. Taskbound works with emeralds when it is absent. See currency settings.
Newly generated vanilla villages prioritize one Task Board pavilion connected to a path or paved plaza, with duplicate pavilions prevented. Already generated villages are not retrofitted when you install the mod.
You can craft a board with 3 paper, 2 sticks, 1 chest, and 3 oak planks:
| Paper | Paper | Paper |
| Stick | Chest | Stick |
| Oak planks | Oak planks | Oak planks |
The default recipe specifically uses oak planks. Place the board and interact with it to browse guilds.
Taskbound grants one journal on your first eligible login. Losing it does not cause another automatic grant. Craft a replacement with 1 book + 1 feather + 1 compass in any arrangement.
Use the journal item to check active tasks and guild progression. Accepting tasks, handing in supplies, and claiming rewards happen at a Task Board.
- Open a board and choose a guild.
- Select an offer. Read its objectives, restrictions, reward, and any timer before accepting.
- Accept it, then do the work. Actions completed before acceptance usually do not count; ordinary item hand-ins can use existing supplies.
- Check the journal for progress. Multi-step tasks show each objective separately.
- Return to a board. Select the completed task and claim its reward, or use Hand in to submit the required items.
The default limit is three unclaimed tasks, including completed tasks waiting for a claim. Claiming or abandoning a task frees its slot. Board and journal guide.
