Sometimes a diagnostic becomes obsolete. For such cases, a mechanism is provided to allow a smooth transition. If a diagnostic is obsolete, it is marked accordingly — that is, its IsObsolete parameter is set to true. It is also possible to add a description by filling in the ObsoleteDesctiption parameter. The description can state the reason for obsolescence or point to the new diagnostic that replaced it.
