The 31 stock compiled maps, split by role so a single map revision does not mean re-downloading everything.

  • shared-2026.07.zip — art no single map owns (dds/, models/, sound/, scripts/, env/). 530.7 MB.
  • <map>-q3map2.zip ×31 — that map's own BSP, lightmaps, textures, shader and minimap. 186.5 MB total, median 4.8 MB.

Pinned by data/maps.lock.json in VortexArena and fetched by tools/data/fetch-maps.py. Players never fetch these directly — maps reach them inside the release archives.

Derived from Xonotic 0.8.6's xonotic-20230620-maps.pk3 and xonotic-20230620-nexcompat.pk3. Per-item licence notices are carried into the archives holding the art they cover; build input and compiler residue are not packaged.

Content is Xonotic's, GPL v3 or later — see data/licenses/ in VortexArena.
