Nhut Reader is a lightweight, distraction-free Japanese EPUB reader for Android. Built specifically for language immersion, it features Yomitan dictionary integration, direct Anki card creation, read-along audiobook synchronization, AI-powered translations, and e-ink display optimizations.

• Tap on unknown words inside dictionary definitions for recursive, multi-level lookup.
• Inject custom CSS styles for popups and choose online or local audio sources.

AI-Powered Translation

• Translate vocabulary or full sentences using Gemini models (such as gemini-2.5-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, or gemini-3-flash-preview).
• Optionally trigger translation automatically when tapping a word.
• Format sentence translations automatically to highlight keywords when mining (e.g. wrapping text in <span class="group">...</span> and <span class="highlight">...</span>).

Highlights & Reading Stats

Firebase Cloud Synchronization

• Authenticate securely using Firebase Auth with Google Sign-In.

• Sync translation history in real-time to back up your looked-up and translated sentences.

Anki Flashcard Mining

• Create cards instantly via local AnkiDroid API or remote AnkiConnect.
• Map card fields dynamically (compatible with Lapis format).
• Avoid duplicate notes by verifying signed/unsigned checksums across the collection or a specific deck.
• View and manage all previously mined terms with timestamps inside a dedicated history log.

Audiobook Read-Along (Sasayaki)

• Synchronize audiobook subtitle files (SRT/WebVTT) with EPUB text to automatically highlight the spoken sentence.

Privacy & Data
