WATTx Core v0.1.7.7
All nodes and pools should upgrade — this release tightens consensus.
Consensus (deploy network-wide)
- x25x: algorithms whose proof of work cannot be verified from a block header (equihash, ghostrider) were hashed as SHA256D, so a block could declare EQUIHASH and be accepted on double-SHA256 work while paying equihash's difficulty. They are now unmineable rather than mineable with the wrong algorithm's work.
Pool / stratum
- A miner whose login carried no
+WTX_ADDRESSwas silently credited to the pool's own wallet. The payout address now comes from the login, a bare WATTx address, or the password — and the login is refused if none is usable. - XMRig's object-form
loginandsubmitare parsed correctly (the array parser previously read the nested algo list and dropped every RandomX miner's address). - Reward weighting uses rolling 10-minute share windows instead of lifetime counters, so payouts follow current work, not uptime. Payout-set changes rebuild jobs immediately so a new miner's first blocks pay them.
Wallet
- Pool mining works for real. The Mining tab's Pool mode is a full XMRig-protocol stratum client wired to the built-in RandomX miner, paying out to the wallet's own mining address. It defaults to the public pool at
stratum+tcp://pools.wattxchange.app:3333. (The old Pool option silently mined solo.) - Update notifications. The wallet checks for newer releases (Help → Check for Updates, plus a daily background check governed by the existing option) and offers this download page. Windows builds open the releases page directly.
- GUI miner fixes: the miner uses the thread count the UI shows, block templates rebuild per algorithm, and RandomX verifies with the genesis key.
