Collaboration Framework
The full text of the document as a LaTeX-PDF version can be viewed on Overleaf. To August 13, 2021, the Overleaf version is the most up to date. The Paper proposal contains the proposed sections and contents, including a proposed methodology, and it can be found here.
The HMetS-WG is preparing a Research Paper for publication at the Data Science Journal. This section of the wiki outlines the framework collaboration, in particular our approach to collaboration, contribution and progress tracking.
- Research paper: 8 000 words
- Publication fees (tbd) due upon acceptance
You are welcome to use the Task Tracking and Author Roles spreadsheet to keep track of your contributions, and of our overall progress:
- The 'Tasks' sheet will break the work done into do-able chunks
- The 'CRediT roles' sheet will be where we keep track of contributions
For more details on the writing process, including sub-groups and sessions, please view the Meetings section of this wiki.
This group will follow authorship practices outlined by the ICMJE and Casrai/NISO. Most importantly, we will attend to the recommendations by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE):
Conversations around negotiating authorship should begin early in the life of a project, and changes in status and order may occur multiple times throughout the process up to the date of publication. Therefore maintaining a record of meetings, project agreements/contracts, and discussions can help to remind authors of the history of the agreements to date and to provide the framework for completing authorship contribution requirements for journal submission.
This collaboration plan is based on the following guidelines and recommendations for collaborative research:
