SessionHarbor v0.3.1 — Windows hardening and complete handoffs
Pre-release
Pre-release
SessionHarbor v0.3.1 is a source-available public preview for noncommercial use under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0.
Highlights
- Windows handoff snapshots now include AGENTS.md, plugin discovery evals, PRIVACY.md, SUPPORT.md, and TERMS.md.
- Integer-millisecond timestamp normalization prevents harmless NTFS/exFAT precision drift from leaving byte-identical sessions pending.
- Stable-stat guards fail closed if an existing source changes during hashing or after a content-addressed revision path is planned.
- Applied backup refreshes verified byte-identical catalog metadata without creating an unnecessary revision.
- Agent-oriented discovery files, structured plugin metadata, GitHub Pages, and macOS/Windows/Linux CI are included.
Verified evidence
- Windows reproduced and fixed the handoff and timestamp issues, then passed npm run check, all 93 tests, the Codex plugin validator, and the Codex skill validator.
- A physical removable-drive Windows backup processed 782 sessions: 2 copied, 780 skipped, 0 errors.
- Restore and peer export hashes matched.
- macOS independently reproduced the patch and passed all 93 tests.
- The new immutable Windows handoff
20260827T044741Z-v0.3.1contains 97 source files and passed all 100 SHA-256 checksum rows. - No real Windows session was deleted; no cleanup scheduler ran; the macOS device-owned tree remained unchanged.
Preview limitations
Automated cleanup remains off by default. Real deletion still requires a current verified backup, both time gates, explicit apply, and separate delete confirmation. Real Windows-session deletion remains untested. SessionHarbor restores verified raw rollout files and does not promise exact native Codex sidebar reconstruction.
