tiny-context 0.3.0 — agent bundles
New: reusable document profiles. Save literal labels, required document anchors and field types once, then apply the profile to recurring forms/reports in one batch. Missing, invalid or ambiguous fields need review; partial values are withheld. Supports TXT/Markdown, DOCX and text-layer PDFs. No model training, API calls, automatic inference or telemetry. Eight MCP tools remain; the profile mode extends extract.
By AVRG3. This is opt-in: every new document is still parsed and checked. Prefer a direct read for one small file or an existing correct script. Smaller output is not proof of a lower bill; setup, agent turns and caching affect cost. Contract, examples and synthetic evidence: https://github.com/Warddamn/tiny-tools/blob/main/packages/context/docs/DOCUMENT_PROFILES.md
Choose the bundle for your OS: darwin = macOS, win32 = Windows, linux = Linux. Each contains x64/arm64 dependencies and requires Node.js 20+ or a compatible host-provided runtime. Open it in an MCPB-compatible client. The existing no-login npx installation remains in the README for other clients.
All eight tools are checked against known answers after extracting the actual bundle. These are unsigned bundles; the registry metadata includes their SHA-256 hashes. Dependencies are included, so bundles are larger than the npm-style download.
Tools have startup and validation costs. Task-level comparisons include both improvements and regressions; no universal savings are promised. Start with the worked examples: https://github.com/Warddamn/tiny-tools/blob/main/QUICKSTART.md
tiny-context 0.2.0 — agent bundles
New: keyed JSON/JSONL export comparisons. Ask which orders, issues or inventory records changed even when rows are shuffled. diff_files records mode accepts explicit record IDs and selected fields, returns exact scoped counts and bounded before/after previews, and can save a complete local JSONL report. Ambiguous IDs and numeric precision loss fail explicitly. Eight tools remain; no new dependency, model call or telemetry. Existing SQL restrictions and parse-cache safeguards are retained.
Eight local MCP tools by AVRG3 for spreadsheet queries, targeted PDF/Office searches, log summaries, record/document comparisons, validation and extraction. Existing correct scripts and source-side change feeds can be faster; no universal token, time or cost saving is claimed. Examples and evidence: https://github.com/Warddamn/tiny-tools/blob/main/packages/context/docs/RECORD_DIFF.md

tiny-runtime 0.1.1 — API pagination, retry loops and tool progress
Safety and efficiency update: incremental crash-recoverable checkpoints, bounded collection callbacks, successful repeated reads allowed, duplicate cache hints coalesced, and expired/late cache acknowledgements rejected. Existing version-1 checkpoints can still resume.
Three MCP tools and a JavaScript/TypeScript SDK by AVRG3 for agent workflows:
- collect_pages: resumable API pagination and local batches, duplicate checks, exact integer totals, explicit complete/partial/failed results.
- check_progress: inspect repeated failures against measured state; SDK wrappers enforce the guard in an agent host.
- plan_cache: tool-progress cache scheduling hints; live GPU effects require a compatible serving-engine integration.
Download the MCPB for an MCPB-compatible client (same file on macOS, Windows and Linux, dependencies included). Requires Node.js 20+ or a compatible host runtime. This exact bundle was tested through MCP on all three operating systems.
For other clients, use the tarball with npx; it downloads dependencies and needs no npm account:
npx -y -p https://github.com/Warddamn/tiny-tools/releases/download/runtime-v0.1.1/tiny-runtime-0.1.1.tgz tiny-runtime-mcp
Install and tool reference · Try three examples
No model calls or telemetry in the tools. HTTP sources are explicit read-only requests. The MCP trace tools do not automatically intercept other clients or control hosted-model caches. No real-world token, compute or GPU savings are claimed. Bundle is unsigned; SHA256SUMS.txt and registry metadata verify artifact integrity.
tiny-runtime 0.1.0 — API pagination, retry loops and tool progress
Superseded by tiny-runtime 0.1.1. Upgrade for the safety and efficiency fixes. Older pinned installations do not update automatically. The original assets below are retained unchanged for traceability.

tiny-context 0.1.1 — agent bundles
Safety update: upgrade from 0.1.0. SQL now accepts one read-only query against the supplied table, blocks external file/network access, enforces resource/deadline limits, and protects existing files during CSV export. Document queries can skip mapping and reuse a bounded, freshness-checked parse cache.

A single 12-task Claude trial measured about 20% fewer processed tokens and 50% less total time. Results vary. Start with the worked examples: https://github.com/Warddamn/tiny-tools/blob/main/QUICKSTART.md
tiny-context v0.1.0 — know things about files without reading them
Superseded by tiny-context 0.1.1. Upgrade for the safety and efficiency fixes. Older pinned installations do not update automatically. The original assets below are retained unchanged for traceability.
tiny-context v0.1.0 — 8 local, deterministic tools that let an AI agent outline, search, slice, SQL-query, cluster, diff, validate and extract from files (including PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX) without reading them whole.
Measured on this repo's fixtures: 17 tasks · 7,415,930 naive tokens → 9,169 tool tokens · 99.9% saved. Against a shell-capable agent: same answers, ~20% fewer tokens, ~50% less time. Method: bench/RESULTS.md · evals/COMPARISON.md.
Install without npm (this release)
tiny-context-standalone-0.1.0.tgz is self-contained — it bundles @tiny_tools_pw/shared and its runtime dependencies, so it installs straight from this page:
npm install -g https://github.com/Warddamn/tiny-tools/releases/download/v0.1.0/tiny-context-standalone-0.1.0.tgzThen point any MCP client at it:
{ "mcpServers": { "tiny-context": { "command": "tiny-context-mcp" } } }Claude Code, one line:
claude mcp add tiny-context -- tiny-context-mcpContents
