Your normal cursor has the same old Reticule however when you toggle Battleview you hide the cursor and control your unit and you only control one, the rest will follow you like on PSX and you can assign using the same button combo in PSX I think it was R2/RB + Any button like ABXY or Circle Square Triangle X on your controller. And after you have chosen a truck with Battleview deactivated which is the same as drive mode, It has to be A if it is on the right side of your controller or B. and same for Circle sometimes Japanese controllers swap the X and Circle button, but onto the rest so you only got like your DPAD and buttons for both to be used as assignment to groups. and When you open reticule with the preferred button for your region you can design units in the menu however some extended selections might need to be added to be an improvement than the PSX and PC version and like the old one you use the left analog stick for controlling the mouse too if activating Battleview. You can select a unit on the manufacture reticule and go above 9 which is infinity BTW, you use same selection method nearly as PSX for research too only except for your preferred region/controller. And the same goes for canceling a build/research/manufacture. for building however you have a truck selected and if you are pointed the screen at an oil resource you get a selection and you hit the button to build it and if you see an artifact same button only except one unit that you are controlling with Battleview off will collect it for you (Should we also add some patches to ensure that it halts that if it has it's properties set to retreat at low or medium health?) after selecting a structure, with battle view turned off you move the left analog stick to choose a space you wanna build it in then because DPAD is reserved for the idea mentioned above. Controller still works with Battleview on however it may be preferable or recommended to turn it off for the controller. this is an enhancement to the old Battleview off limitations from the late 90s since we have come this far.
