Agent Note CLI is the open-source terminal client for Agent Notebook's Today workflow.

Install

brew install wdblink/tap/agent-note-cli
agent-note brief --source codex

A separately installed, authenticated Codex or Claude Code CLI is needed to generate briefs. Model usage consumes your own quota. Use --read-only to read existing results without model calls.

Included

  • Pixel notebook logo, large terminal title, and interactive home menu.
  • The unchanged App backend for session families, frozen evidence, Traceink editorial rules, structured worklines, validation, publication and checkpoint recovery.
  • Date, time zone, project and provider scope; selected-workline dossiers.
  • Markdown and JSON exports, provenance, explicit coverage status, and cache reuse.
  • A dependency-bundled npm tarball, SHA-256 checksum, and generated Homebrew formula.

Verification and limits

Automated tests cover original App behavior, CLI/backend result parity, persistence, rendering, and offline installation with an empty npm cache. CI tests Node.js 22, 24 and 26 on macOS and Linux. Model responses in tests are synthetic; this release does not claim a live model quality evaluation.

The CLI exposes briefs and dossiers. Wiki editing, reflection writes, proposal adoption and sealing remain outside its command surface. Native Windows support is not verified.

The tap is maintained at https://github.com/WdBlink/homebrew-tap. Release assets are also usable for manual npm installation; verify SHA256SUMS before installing.
