@WeGoToMars WeGoToMars released this 19 Oct 21:24

Version 2.0.1

  • Enabled Hugging Face download statistics for model downloads made by the app.
  • Bumped the app’s d1 model bundle and runtime to 2.0.1.

Get started

  1. Download and unzip Tinkerbox-ANE-2.0.1-macos-arm64.zip.
  2. Move Tinkerbox.app to your Applications folder (or run it directly).
  3. First Launch: Because the app is ad-hoc signed, macOS will prompt you on first run. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, or run: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Tinkerbox.app
  4. The app would download and cache model weights automatically.

@WeGoToMars WeGoToMars released this 18 Oct 00:28

Version 1.0.1

The app now explicitly supports all variants of Apple M4 through M6, with precompiled d1 models published to https://huggingface.co/wegotomars/d1-3B-CoreAI-ANE. On first launch, the app detects your Mac's Neural Engine architecture and automatically downloads the corresponding optimized Core AI bundle.

Get started

  1. Download and unzip Tinkerbox-ANE-1.0.1-macos-arm64.zip.
  4. On first launch, the app will configure an isolated local environment and fetch the model weights (~4.5 GB). Subsequent launches start up instantly.
