KWM 1.0.1
Fixes
- Quitting KWM no longer leaves windows from other workspaces hidden. They're brought back whether you quit with
Alt Shift Q(⌥⇧Qon macOS), press Ctrl+C in the terminal, or the process is killed.
Downloads
- macOS (Apple Silicon):
KWM-1.0.1-macos-arm64.dmg. The app isn't notarized, so right-click → Open the first time, then grant Accessibility access when asked. - Windows (x64):
KWM-1.0.1-windows-x64.zip. Needs Java 17 or newer; unzip and runKWM.bat.
KWM 1.0.0 — macOS support
KWM now runs on macOS as well as Windows. It detects the OS at startup and loads the matching backend.
New
- macOS support: tiling through the Accessibility API, 5 workspaces, global hotkeys and focus follows mouse
- Status bar sits below the macOS menu bar, and KWM runs without a Dock icon
- Unit tests for workspaces, layouts and hotkeys
Fixes
- Battery showed the percentage used instead of the percentage left
- Windows in the right-hand stack overlapped by 2px
- Some layouts ignored the monitor's origin
- Building works when your default JDK is newer than Gradle supports
